Herbed Fish


  • 1  pound(s)  fish fillets about 1/2 inch thick
  • 2  Tbsp  olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/2  c  bisquick mix
  • 1/4  c  herb seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1  Tbsp  chopped basil leaves
  • 1/4  tsp  salt
  • 1  egg


Cut fish into 4 serving pieces. In a 10 inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. In a small, shallow dish, mix bisquick mix, bread crumbs, basil and salt. In another shallow dish, beat egg. Dip fish into egg, then coat with bisquick mixture. Reduce heat to medium low and cook fish in oil for 8-10 minutes, turning once, and cooking until fish flakes easily with a fork and is brown on both sides. Great using cod, walleye, snapper, perch, etc.
