We stayed 2 nights at a tent site with our van. Helpful staff. Two diff. rates were charged for each day - Excuse: weekend is higher rate, (it was a Thursday...). Lovely site good facilities. Upgrades are needed soon, however, to keep current level.

Great location to get to Yosemite Nat'l Park. Bathrooms were not clean at all and there was a sink that was out of order. Friendly and helpful staff.

The campsite is very close to the road and is noisy. There were three tents with indian people and they didn't stop to laught and talk until 12.00a.m

the tent area is near the road, far from ablution block which had facilities out of order and the wifi was not working in this area

Nice, Clean & Simple. Loved the place.

The first night was great. However the second night my family got no sleep at all the camp sight next to our had a bunch of very loud drunk people we called to complain several times only to have nothing done. Finally at 5 am did they quiet down. I would never reccomend this place. The emergency number never got answered. The second night was the worst time I have ever had camping in my life.

Very friendly people. Very quiet. Very dusty because of the dry summer.
Aug 12, 2014
Campsite was big and clean. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms were pretty clean. The toilets flushed a little slowly and not always fully. But the location to a couple national parks can't be beat.

This was an excellent camping experience for us. Our hosts offered us a very good corner site, and we stayed there for two nights. It was about a forty-five minute drive to Yosemite, but in this case, this was a good thing because Yosemite gets very crowded. It was good to be able to leave and stay at Coarsegold.

Dirty restrooms Swimming pool closed not dust but earlier

Standard, ordinary campground. Nothing special. Only two showers in the men's shower room, shower rods just resting on top of walls. Not particularly clean, but it is a public shower.

The staff was very friendly. However the amenities are limited and the bathrooms weren't very well-maintained. Easy access to Yosemite though.
Aug 05, 2014
nice tent site, showers and bathrooms clean, the only drawback was the pool seemed to be over chlorinated. Not that far from South Entrance of Yosemite
Aug 02, 2014
The pool and showers could use some attention, they were dirty. They just need to replace them. The general store had water and ice but that was about it.

A nice campground, but the bathrooms were not well maintained.

The camp site was a bit of a challenge to get to being that we were on motorcycles.

the place looks a little run down. the pool/clubhouse area was unsupervised. the store located on sight was super limited.still had a good time with the family and friends. close enough to bass lake to drive over for the day.

We asked for quiet and shady. It was shady but you allowed 19 French students to hang out outside the office socializing until after 1AM. Quiet hours were not adhered to. I went up and talked to the young people twice and called the number on the message board twice to no effect. I am usually a sound sleeper but could not get to sleep with that much noise. We blame the management not the kids.

Great friendly staff. Restrooms could have used a little more attention.
Jul 22, 2014
*staff are very nice & accomodating *tent sites have enough room for 2 medium tents with water & power *clean restrooms, showers are free of charge *clubhouse-pool, grill area, tables&umbrellas.....pool/billiards & tv needs to be repaired or updated. koa store sells firewood & ice. convenient to town 3-12 miles away to groceries, shopping, restaurants. ****1 hour away from yosemite np.

The site was right next to a busy road, so cars kept us up most of the night. Also, the camp grounds are TINY. So along with the cars flying by, there were the strangers on either side of us snoring...I had no feeling of privacy whatsoever. The bathrooms weren't very nice, either. For the price of this camp site, I was incredibly unimpressed. We stayed in national parks for cheaper than this.

The campground was extremely clean. The staff was fantastic and very helpful! Jeri from the office was extremely helpful, and an absolute sweetheart and she along with all of the staff made us feel as if we were at home. We will go back here again and again.

While the Eureka KOA was phenomenal, the Coarsegold KOA was underwhelming. I would attribute much of it to uncontrollable factors such as temperature, dryness and Overall climate. However, the grounds themselves are showing age and could use renovation. Again, when you stay at a campsite like Eureka KOA then go to Coarsegold KOA your expectations have now been set.

It was a lot of fun. We had a great time.

We loved how close we were to the bathroom. The showers were amazing to have after a long day out and about. There were too many ants at our site we had to move our tent numerous times and we didn't get a picnic table at our spot. Otherwise great stay!

This place is great! If I come back to Yosemite again I would definitely stay here again. Nice and helpful people work here and there is a great pool and community room with a pool table. We really enjoyed our stay and wanna say thanks to the great staff for helping us out so much

Loved the location, pool, and staff/owners. The place has a great layout, beautiful sunsets at the pool every night. Would have liked a playground and a better stocked store. The place could use some updating. Bathrooms could have been cleaner.Again, the owners and staff were very nice.

Very friendly staff; felt very welcome. Stayed in tent site 12. Large site that our 2 large tents fit onto easily. Tent sites are close enough to the road that you will hear traffic sounds throughout the night. Pool was great for the kids. Bathroom and showers were clean. Do not expect to find much in the store other than ice.

Great customer service!!! So helpful and made the stay easy. Only change is that the showers need to be cleaned more often and more thoroughly. We stayed 3 nights, and it wasn't cleaned throughout the 3 nights. Maybe clean every 2 days.

We have stayed at a lot of KOA's...unfortunately this one is poorly maintained, very dirty (bathrooms, trash everywhere). It will not deter us from staying in other KOA's we just wouldn't stay in that one again.

We are repeat customers of this campground and definitely enjoy the hospitality they provide. During our visit this time they hosted an ice cream social and a movie. The staff is amazing and we will be returning again. Thank you

Facilities and amenities were very clean and stocked. Best stay yet

If you are looking for a place to camp while you explore Yosemite be prepared to drive an hour just to get to the south entrance. It takes another hour to get to Yosemite village. You are traveling on a very winding, slow, road with an average speed of about 35 mph.The elevation change is 3-5,000 ft. The campground was safe, and clean but the drought has made the landscape very dry and dusty.
