Traveling 5000 miles across the USA, and this was the best place we stayed....camping the whole way. Super friendly and helpful folks there

The campground is in a beautiful location right next to the river. We got a great tent site along the river, The campground is clean, and the staff are very helpful. Winthrop is a unique, charming, special town, and the KOA campground is a great place to stay.

Friendly staff. Clean grounds and the nicest bathrooms I've experienced. Location next to the river and close to town is perfect. I do wish the sign near the road was lit...I missed the driveway twice. Wonderful stay as always. We will be back!

The camp grounds were very well kept and clean. The staff were lovely. And we had a perfect spot on the river. It was an amazing camping trip.

Staff and facilities were great. My only complaint is that the pool was murky when were arrived on Saturday, couldn't see the bottom unless you were in the shallow end, and it wasn't cleaned until the following Friday afternoon after someone defecated in it. The next day, the day we were leaving, the pool was clear. Not sure what we had been swimming in, but it should be cleaned more often.

We are sorry to hear that you found the pool condition unsatisfactory. Pool safety and cleanliness is take seriously. Everyday the pool is cleaned, chemicals checked and results logged. The pool is closed anytime the results are not within the state and county pool guidelines.

Amazing ! Just be close to the river hear the river running to fall sleep, wake up and look how the sun rise on the river, have a little private river space, I can’t wait to made reservations and back again, thank you KOA .

I liked it, but I wish the sites were more secluded. It's too open and we won't be staying there again. We liked the cleanliness, bathrooms/showers were nicely kept, grounds were clean, lots were spacious, but absolutely no privacy.

I appreciated quite time being enforced. It was nice there was ice available for purchase at the store. Everyone was very friendly.

The staff was courteous and helpful and the facilities were well maintained. Great location with lots for the kids to do. Quickly becoming a favorite spot.

I had a tent site right next to the covered wagons and it was on too much of a slant. I kept waking up throughout the night because I was sliding. Besides for this it was a great place to camp! Very clean and nice staff!!!

We love KOAs. The downside to this one was having the bathroom on the other side of the RV area making tent campers have to walk around the RVers to get to the bathroom. Shower stalls were a bit small & curtains a little "yucky" on the bottoms. Other than that and the trailer next door in a tent site running generator all afternoon & evening, our stay was good. The employees were all wonderful,

Great time had by all. Pool was open and kept clean, sprinklers running throughout the day to keep the grass green around the sites, clean restrooms and showers! Had a great time, we will be back!

Campground host were super nice. Loved the amenities! Especially the swimming pool, jump pad, free coffee and cocoa. We had a tent site on the river and absolutely love the campground and falling asleep to the sound of the river.

I think the office staff could have been a little nicer. To firm. The early check in fee of $10 for being 35 minutes early and only pitching a tent is way out of line. I had to sit and wait until 3:00 just to go pitch a tent in the blazing heat.

We love the Winthrop KOA! We have stayed here 7 times now, and it keeps improving every time we come back.

Love this location! We come every year and they keep making this campground Better! Very friendly staff and they keep it quite after hours… this is NOT a late night party camp ground.. family friendly �

Nice, quiet, near the river, but no feasible river access. Sites 9 and 17 have private patios with hot tubs.
