We had a great time. We had the perfect campsite. Really enjoyed the river. Everyone at the office/store were incredibly nice and helpful.

No shade in tent sites without paying $75 for a patch of ground.

Had to pay an early check in fee, even though we were only an hour early and most of the campground was empty, including our spot. Had family that had arrived the day before us and was not aloud to park at their spot until our (empty) site was available without also paying a fee.

Great stay, clean, river front spots were amazing. My only complaint was no hot water when I showered, even in the middle of the day when use was much less than the busy times.

Clean campground with friendly and helpful staff. Bummer that the tubing shuttle is no longer running, hoping it makes a come back in future summers!

It was a short stay, but we will definitely be back! All the staff were great, amenities were great! Bathroom and showers were kept clean!

Convenient location and beautiful river sounds while you sleep, however very overpriced for a tent site with no power or water amenities on site. The smell of what smelt like sewerage was fairly consistent during our 14hr stay. We would suggest lowering your costs for the tent sites considerably.

Hi everything was great. Staff is super friendly and we had a great time. There was a rowdy group of guys with a lot of profanity and driving too fast through the campground after hours. One big request…slightly larger trash cans in the bathrooms. Most were full and overflowing by days end.

We booked tent site with no hookup, and it seems like most of the tent sites with no hookup were having lot of dirt and no green grass or water sprouts in many places. Everyone needs to go near to office instead of this it should be places many places and greenery maintained across tent sites. Other than this location was good and amenities like pool and kids Jump pad was well maintained.

Love the location of this KOA, it is next to a beautiful river with deer wandering through the campground. It is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We stay here every year.

I liked the grassy sties better than the dirt and gravel at other sites. Pool is nice, bathrooms and showers are nice. Bounce pad fun for the kids. iIt was really really hot and there wasn’t much shade. 3/4 of our site was unusable due to sun. We had a large noisy party next to us, and nobody answered the after hours number. No activities for the kids. Was nearly empty during the week.

Nice place with options of tent site, cabins, wagons and RV sites to choose from. Very clean bathrooms which I absolutely loved. Would stay here again.

Everyone was so pleasant! The grounds were clean and super well kept. Loved our site! Met the local raft guide as he transported the tubers!

The people that work here seem happy and are very kind and helpful. we enjoyed painting ceramic's and the cotton candy was a hit with all of us. The camp grounds are clean and well taken care of. The bathrooms were also clean and well taken care of. It was a very fun weekend for our family of 8. They had other camp sites and we all enjoyed ourselves.

We love the campground. Amazing as always. Weather was fantastic. Kids activities were great and pool was a definite plus in the heat. We loved the kitchen pavilion for dish washing but wished there was more hot water available as it was used by other campers quite frequently. Wifi was non-existent with the number of campers and range.

When you pay $61.99 a night plus tax for a tent site, you have high expectations. Unfortunately, no one even bothered to clean our site. I removed several pieces of paper towel, tissue, etc., along with corn husks and an empty beer can. The picnic tables in our area of the campground were old, as was the bathroom/shower. This was my first KOA experience and it will be my LAST.

Perhaps you would have had a better rating if you your customer service was better! We arrived early at about 12:30 pm. we could not check in because "Check in is 3:00pm". We checked our tent site, it was empty but we were not allowed to set-up our tent. Very INCONVENIENT! We had to wander around town for three hours doing basically nothing! Then stand in line again to check in! RUDE!

shot a bb gun at a water jug and were told we shot birds. we shoot bb guns over on this side of the mountains. after second talking to by now the general manager we were told on day 3 we were too loud??? I had my daughter and 5 grandkids. People in T1 were drinking, swearing and arguing all day. Visitors that never paid to be there. Two men peed outside with in view to us and my grandkids

We use to love staying here with our family but then they raised their rates exponentially and won’t allow additional tents so families can camp together, then charges. Didn’t apply refund to accidental additional campsite reservation. Charges for each individual at sites and pets charges get high and no additional amenities no longer provided such as bike rentals. Store and pool closes at 6p

The staff were all very friendly. Receptionist was very thorough in instructions and facility map. Everything very clean and appreciated firewood delivered to our site.

Love it here. Been coming for 25+ years every summer. NOT happy with "corporate" status. Arrived 2:30 6-21 Tuesday, was told to sit around and wait until 3:00 or be charged $10 per site for early check-in. Are you kidding?! Not cool at all. Pool closes 6:00 pm; what's up with that? The man that told us closed was rude. No wine or beer available in office store. So rigid now. I'm sad.

Friendly staff checking in. Rude site staff...especially guy shutting down the pool with profanity on his t-shirt. Pool closes too early...6:00pm? Clean sites but no shade on the south side of park. Pool is in poor condition.

Family Friendly - It was a great family outing and we truly enjoyed the campout even with some unforeseen rain. Aside from a brisk rinse off at the showers, it was a perfect tent camping experience. Staff and other campers were all courteous and respectful.

First time at a koa and this location did NOT disappoint! I’m signing up for the rewards based on this location and hoping others that we stay at throughout the summer will be just as good! Amazing staff, super super clean, respectful campers, the whole experience was wonderful!

We thought it was great. Bathrooms were clean. There were activities for the kids. Dishwashing station was helpful. Plenty of space at our campsite (power would have been nice). My only complaint is how many fires there were at night, many were often left unattended. People just seemed to be burning wood for the heck of it. The air became VERY smokey at night.

We had a wonderful stay at the KOA in Winthrop. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to make our experience there extra special. The bathrooms were spotless and the campgrounds extremely well-manicured. Our spot by the river was especially lovely and private. We will be back next year for a longer stay!

Nice, quiet, near the river, but no feasible river access. Sites 9 and 17 have private patios with hot tubs.
