A shale-bottom creek, fun for hiking, flows through KOA. Hook bass and perch from the pond and then let them go. (For the real keepers, get on an Erie charter or fish off the large pier near a boat launch.) KOA boasts two pools, a game room and an award-winning playground. Fun summer weekends include water balloon tosses, Big Foot and sack races, treasure hunts and more. For a spectacular view of Lake Erie, vineyards and a hint of Canada, go 5 miles to Luensman Overview Park. Visit antique shops and wineries and Erie's Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park.
