Very nice campground…clean and staff friendly. Only thing keeping this from being a 5 star is the lake. Would be much better if the swim area was cleaner/no algae on the beach and in the water. This was our second stay at this campground and would definitely stay here again!

Sites where nice but Bathroom definitely needs cleaning. Clothes laying around and sand all in the shower. Sinks had bugs all over them.

Site was very unlevel; van was tilted. There were many open sites in the park, yet they placed me, a single 58 year old, right in front of the kids' playground! It was noisy and busy for most of the evening, with kids running everywhere, screaming, disturbing my dogs, etc. The area my site was in is truly meant for kids to enjoy, but not for someone like me. I was too tired to request a move.

The lake is gross. Moss dyed blue is still moss. I’m sure some might enjoy it but it wasn’t for us. The play area compared to other KOAs is minimal if you have kids.

We stayed here when the park first opened and liked it then but now that the park is established we see how much fun it is! There's plenty for the kids and adults to do here. Clean level sites made setting up easy. We will definitely come here again!

Second trip here! Loved the swim area & fishing was great. However, the sandy beach had lots of grass & weeds @ the waters edge & the island was totally overgrown compared to the website pictures. Bathrooms were OK however the showers were not thoroughly cleaned. Advised staff about a broken chair on our patio site and after waiting 2 days, we just swapped chairs from an unoccupied site.

Pond and beach area was very dirty. Sand had rocks in it. No shade. Will not be returning.

Nice quiet place. Not much shade around the spots or at the playground or dog park. They have very small shade screens up but they don’t do any good. We liked the easy accessibility to the parks. It was clean and you weren’t constantly being watched by the staff which was nice from other places we have stayed.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Waterloo! Overall, it’s a very clean place with great employees! Our interactions with staff were positive! During our stay we played disc golf and swam in the pond. My son loves to fish and he was able to catch several bass. For the most part, the shower house was clean. I was a little disappointed since this is a KOA Resort, my expectations were higher. The lake is the main draw, yet it is not very conducive for swimming due to the odd color and large amount of algae. They really should have a pool too. We were in site 9 which was level but impossible to get into since it requires a 170 degree turn to pull through. Campground could use some maintenance.

We completely enjoyed our stay at KOA. The water park was amazing. The only suggestion we would say is that you need some more play equipment for the young children. It could be sandbox swings or a smaller equipment

Disappointing. Our 4th time here, possibly our last. Extremely understaffed and maintained for a KOA Resort. Trash in firepit. Bathrooms had dead insects all over. Beach/lake need some TLC. Limited activities at campground, except for one playground, a weedy beach/mossy lake, crumbling disc golf course, and old paddle boats. Please fix this! We want to be back and enjoy this campground again!

I was very shocked to find that the bathrooms were not being cleaned daily. There were large spider webs all the way up the walls in shower stalls so they had been there for a while. I could tell the floors were not being swept or mopped daily and to me that is unacceptable, so I assume the showers were being neglected as well, again unacceptable. Aside from that our stay was great as always.

Cable tv promised but not delivered. Lame excuses blaming weather/storms. 5 days never got it. Front desk staff not friendly. No greeting and seems like a chore fir them to help. Nice park. Good spaces. Fire pits poorly located on sites.

The last 2 times I have stayed at this location the cable tv has been out and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work without constantly buffering, it takes along time to even get connected. I had to use my hot spot on my phone to watch tv. VERY DISAPPOINTED considering the price I pay to stay there !!! I will not be renewing my KOA membership!!!

Only complaint I had is that I was on site 102 with a travel trailer and it was a real pain to dump my black/grey tanks because the inlet to the septic was higher than the outlet to my trailer, so I ended up walking the hose multiple times, great workout but took a lot of my time to do it. Othewise, we enjoyed our stay and will return. Oh, good customer service at the main office too.

Good for a quick stay. But if you have no kids it’s just ok. We checked in give our spot and got to it only to find it occupied. The person in the spot said he moved to it when relatives left. So we took the next spot. Obviously no one checks the sites to see if they’ve checked out. As do most other KOA’s.

I don’t like that you have to pay the full amount when you make your reservations! I have talked to a lot of campers they don’t like that either they also said that a lot of koa campground don’t collect the full amount. When you try to make a bunch of reservations three out the camping season that’s a lot of money ! Not happy about this I’m probably going to consider camping elsewhere

It's a nice park, but I feel the shower facilities could be improved. For the cost of the sites at this park, the shower facilities seem a bit underwhelming, with short push button controls and non-adjustable temperatures. Great location close to the water park and casino. Nice level site, with good areas for the kids to play.

Beach was stinky and gross. Garbage all over the sand and the water was stagnant. Play area was not very big or interesting for the kids.

Nothing like other KOA's we've stayed at. Other KOA's bring you to your spot and make sure you have everything needed at the site before leaving. For the size of this one that would have been nice and would have saved a trip around the park trying to find our spot.

One night layover for us. Could not level my 40 ft class A. Front jacks could not extend enough on a cement pad. Had a comfortable stay.

The Park is really nice and well kept .The employees were nice , friendly and helpful . It was quiet at night and a added bonus , the theme and water park was next door . I would definitely stay there again .

Stayed at RV site towards the front. Nice level site. Site by hill aren't leveled/cut down. Slant down with hill. Saw gas or diesel pumps on site.

Very well maintained and attractive facility. Close to attractions, entertainment, groceries, and the highway. Over all pretty quiet, some occasional road noise. Sites are level and relatively spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but not bothersome. Price is a bit higher than other areas nearby. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would stay there again.
