When we stayed here in past years there were lots of fun shirts and souvenirs readily available-they were not this year. This was a disappointment. There was no printed menu, which we prefer, for available food service. Workers but did the necessary; not above and beyond. I made advance reservations and we got a mostly sunny site our 31 ft RV that barely fit for our 4 night stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

In 2020, you had a note wanting shade. This reservation only indicated 'late arrival'...nothing about shade. If the site did not work, we could have possibly moved you, if you had asked. We are now Camp Green - saving paper. Menu sent via text. Current managers were here in 2020, have more gifts now

We were able to change our site when we arrived to something we liked better. The staff was very attentive to our needs and pleasant at all times. Trash was picked up regularly. The grounds are card for and the pool is well maintained. This was my second visit to wapakoneta koa and I will visit again.

Overnight stay for us and so glad. This place is so tight…our awning couldn’t even go all the way out! We were so close to our neighbors that we didn’t even sit outside. Back in spots look larger so go for those if you plan on staying here.

Very easy on and off I-75. Every visitor gets someone to direct them to their campsite. Staff inside and outside are very helpful and extremely friendly!

Staff was wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Bath houses a little dated and campground itself was compact but well maintained . Appreciated the full hook up pull through sites.

This stop was convenient to the Interstate. We booked an overnight pull through for a quick morning departure. The site was ridiculously narrow to the point we could not open our awning without hitting the neighbour. In addition it was so unlevel that it was beyond the range of our auto level system and the sewer placement is horrible.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for your trouble with the site. We are a 50 year old park and big rigs towing will often be 'away' from the sewer drop just to get your off the road. If we were able, we sure would have tried another site.....if you had let us know. Usually parking in the center of the site makes it level.

Workers were horrible hot water was out and we couldn’t listen to music at our campsite

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The hot water issue was resolved on Saturday. There was another bathhouse onsite if needed. Your music didn't need to be loud enough to listen to at the pool other campers complained. Your group was given an extra campsite at no charge with no thank you. Not a good experience for us either.

This was our second stay for 4 nights. We really love this place!!! The owners are way above wonderful. The staff is always so nice and friendly. Grounds are always clean and so are the bathrooms. Will definitely go back again!

Love this place. Campground is great, managers are awesome once again our only knock is the cleaning staff. We thought it had been addressed but we entered our cabin to find food on the floor and a toy on the bunk bed as well as change laying on the floor and bed. Clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. Other than this we love this place and will definitely keep it on our fav list.

Staff was very kind and helpful when we arrived with not one but two blown tires on our trailer. Being new to camping, they went out of their way to help us get settled in and get our tires replaced. Grounds were neat, clean and quiet. We totally enjoyed our stay in this part of our state. Thank you!

Check in is at the back of the campground and the spaces are tight. The campground itself is nice and very well maintained. Good dog walking areas. Nice camp store with small snack bar selling Pizza and Wings. Friendly Staff. We would stay here again.

Even when we arrived later than expected, we were pleasantly greeted and shown to our site. Lots a family friendly things to do. Game room is extensive. Glad we stopped!

One night same day reservation without a KOA Reward Card (expired in 2022).....Our 50 year old park is not getting bigger with the bigger rigs that are coming but we do our best to make your stay the best it can be!

Great park for an overnight stay while en route to Florida. The staff was friendly and courteous and check in was easy. We travel with our pups and enjoy the Kamp K-9. The site was level and easy to enter and exit with our 40 foot fifth wheel. We discovered the charming town of Wapakoneta, the hometown of Neil Armstong!

We dropped in for an overnight stay as we were headed up north, and again on our return trip. The Wapakoneta KOA was an immaculate and well-maintained campground. The staff was polite, friendly, and professional. It was extremely convenient to the interstate but not close enough to hear the road noise. It was very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend staying here. July 2023.

Office staff was beyond friendly! They put us all together in our group and even checked to be sure one of our campers closed her door while we were out so we didn’t have to come back to check while we were at our airstream factory tour. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Would stay again while passing through.

The Wapakoneta KOA was very nice for our weeklong getaway. The pool was refreshing and the restroom facilities were very clean. The staff was very pleasant to work with and helpful with all our questions. The close proximity to the area museums made this KOA very convenient. We will recommend to al our friends to stay at the Wapakoneta KOA.

This is a decent park but not up there with the greatest. Pull through sites are long enough but very narrow. Okay if your out and about during the day or one night stay but if your hanging at camp you will be very familiar with you neighbors sewer hose. Back in sites are wider but most are occupied by seasonal rigs. Didn't check out the facilities but they do have a little restaurant on site.

Awesome, Well Kept, clean and quiet campground. The staff here is second to none. Very friendly and accommodating. Wish we could give this campground a 10 star rating. If we needed any assistance or had concerns, the friendly staff was right there. We felt like we were special guests or VIP's from each and every staff member from checking in to checking out. Thank you so much Wapakoneta KOA.

Mary the staff person we were in contact with was very helpful and was able to give us all the information we needed via the phone because we were running late. The site itself however ,was not level , which is kind of unusual at a KOA. It is a very nice and clean park .We have stayed there several times

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin for 4 nights, it was comfortable. The camp is clean and safe and even though it was near the end of the season there was a lot for us to do both at the camp and in the surrounding area. Such as - The Neil Armstrong Museum, Heritage Park (river walk, and our 6 month old Bernedoodle enjoyed a nice romp at the dog, the historical downtown) there are several parks around town with playgrounds as well. The campground also has a dog park both for big and small dogs. A playground and arcade for the big and little kids. ha ha We enjoyed our little get-away to the KOA at Wapakoneta. It was nice, relaxing and a fun way to spend our 34th wedding anniversary with just the 2 of us and our puppy. :) Kevin and Karen were so accommodating and helpful! Karen even mailed an item we left behind. Thank You! * sharing a picture of Bernie our puppy because this was "Bernie's Road Trip" and because he so adorable :)
