Wapakoneta KOA Holiday is making plans ...are you? We are conveniently located (just a hop, skip, and a jump!) off I-75, between Lima and Dayton, on Ohio's west side. We are in the perfect location for road-weary travelers to pull in, rest, and get moving again, choosing an easy Pull Thru/Full Hook-up site. Our Back in/Full hook-up sites offer green space, and the patio sites conveniently provide 'easy' camping, with seating and a propane grill already at the site. Your four-legged family members are always welcome and can stretch their legs in the two fenced-in dog walks. Adults and kids alike will enjoy the heated pool from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Remember to order your pizza and snacks - think 'less work' and 'more relaxation'!

Historic Wapakoneta is a thriving small town with cozy restaurants, antiques, boutiques, and shops! Get outside and explore the many area parks, or get inside and visit the Wapakoneta Museum or Armstrong Air & Space Museum! Trails don't have to be hiking and biking! Check out the Brews N Vines Trail or the Moon Menu Trail, each a unique way to explore the area.

At the Wapakoneta KOA Holiday, come and see what is new! We are making plans and changes each and every day that will enhance your visit and camping experience!

Please note!  This is a small campground....sites have room for one camper and one vehicle only!  Extra vehicles will be required to park in the overflow parking area.  Parking tags must be displayed.

Fort Recovery - 48 minutes (42 miles)

In late 1791, Miami Indians defeated General Arthur St. Clair's forces at this site along the Wabash River. Nearly three-quarters of St. Clair's men were killed or wounded in the Indian attack. In late 1793, General Anthony Wayne sent a force to build a four-blockhouse post named Recovery at the site of St. Clair's defeat. It was completed in March of 1794 and on June 30 of that year, General Wayne's army defeated a huge Indian force. This set the stage for Wayne's final triumph at Fallen Timbers in August of 1794. Today, Fort Recovery State Memorial offers visitors a glimpse of the 1790's, featuring two reconstructed blockhouses with connecting stockade, a monument, and a museum.
