RV Reviews

Website does not reflect that there is NO access to campground when coming from Victoria nor that it is within meters of an active working NOISY scrapyard! Horrible noise all day long! Decrepit picnic tables with peeling paint. Site was pine needles over dirt, no grass at all. List goes on. When one chooses to stay at a KOA one expects a little better standard of accommodations. Not this one.

Great campsite, very friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice campground. Not the amenities as at most other KOAs, but this suits us fine. Staff very nice and helpful.

While the setting was very nice and the hosts were friendly and helpful, I will never return to this KOA in a large RV. We have a 34-foot motorhome and were towing a vehicle, so it was very difficult to get into the campground. We had to make a U-turn to turn into the campground. Then the turn itself was like a U-turn--a 45 degree angle up a steep hill. The narrow road was full of holes and rocks

The grounds and the site were nice. Its BC how could it not. However being directly beside an active Auto Wrecking facility is horrible. Very Noisy. No peace and quite as expected. I realize its not much the franchisee can do. Wi-fi was stated as fixed however many of our devices could not connect due to very weak conditions.

old washers and dryers,no wifi, and camped right next to junk yard.Poor for the money!!!!!!!!!!

No wifi. Small, short sites with neighbor's sewer line next to our picnic table. Metal processing plant behind our site. Quiet at night but noisy during daytime. Run down. Would not recommend for the price.

Very steep entrance, poorly maintained. Narrow road suitable for only one vehicle. Friendly staff.

Setting was quite nice except when the auto crushing business next to the campsite was in operation. Individual shower rooms were clean. Odd push button shower which only went for about 30 seconds, and you had to push again. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed our stay there.

First off, the staff is great. Can't thank them enough for assisting me in backing into my campsite. However, I would have preferred to have a pull through site. The camp grounds are very rustic and having a junk yard next door does detract for the KOA experience. The picnic tables need replacing, at least the one we had does. The worst part was getting in and out of the camp grounds.

Top clean 'pool very good

The campground though being quite clean and having the amenities we like seemed to be a bit in disrepair with some picnic tables, play structures in the playground, buildings and fences in need of paint or other maintenance (like sand in the sandbox). I found the store well appointed and the managers/hosts amiable, but felt for what we paid that the overall was a bit lacking.

A perfect place to stay. The sites are partly in surrouned by trees. (great for smaller Campers..22ft). It is like comming to friends / Family. The campground is Close to Victoria! just 30min to drive (dep.on traffic).... next time again!!!

A warm reception and the heated pool compensate for the lack of greatness of the location and the steep and narrow road that leads to it. Glad there was no opposing traffic :)

The staff were very friendly, and went out of their way to help us get settled. The only suggestion I would make would be letting the showers taps run free without having as quick a timer or release on them. But otherwise a great experience.

Nice place to stay after crossing on the ferry to Victoria. A little hard to find using u-turn routes as I didn't really understand them. Clean quiet friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sites, washrooms and pool were very clean.

Good sites. Very very clean. Good access to Victoria. Just note you can't make a left turn across the Malahat hwy when heading north. Use the turnaround just north of the KOA entrance sign. Entrance off the Hwy is very steep with a sharp right off the Hwy.

The staff, site and facilities are excellent..however. Entrance is very steep with ,of all things speed bumbs at the entrance off the highway!! Can be very noisy place with TransCanada highway close, scrap metal yard and firing range noise!

standard was about middle of the pack for a KOA in my experience. One of the better places to trailer around Victoria. The staff are friendly, the sites were clean, and the pool was very clean.

Beautiful place, quiet, nice seperate camp sites.

Freindly staff and nice showers/bathrooms.

Clean washrooms, not far from downtown Victoria, quiet campground.

The operators were very helpful and friendly. It was a quiet and private site. We enjoyed our stay. Cement pads for the R/Vs would be nice though.

The facility and staff were very nice. The fees were a bit much compared to other campgrounds in the area and I think it crazy that one has to pay for people to visit the campground.

The KOA is well forested; quiet, but the access is dangerous from the south and after the entrance is steep and rough.

Love our hosts. They are the nicest people and always so helpful!

This was not what we expect from a KOA. We have other great experiences with KOA but sadly this one did not measure up at all. The good thing is that the bathrooms were kept in very nice shape but the rest of the park itself was in a state of disrepair it seemed. I am glad we only stayed a day and a half. The people were friendly enough who worked there but it was still overpriced.

We enjoyed our stay .had grandchildren with us . Very family oriented . Washrooms and showers were very clean.

Sincerely, we don't understand why it's still a KOA. Worst KOA that we have never visited Reasons : Access extremely dangerous Entry for 4x4 only Quiet hours 22:00 - 8:00 but there is a scrap (metal drop off - auto park) behind the fence that makes noise (too much of decibels), dirt, dust, from 6:30 to 19:30 No WIFI at the sites The most expensive It is inacceptable

great place and friendly service!!!

Bathrooms are good but the campsites are better suited for tent or small RV camping. Sites are too close and short for big rigs. Manager is very friendly and helpful. Campground location is relatively ok for visits to Victory and nearby attractions. Junk yard noise adjacent to campground is a little annoying. Steep incline to campground off busy highway is not too safe. Interior roads poor.
