We had a great time overall, except for an upsetting incident. When we arrived, we were told we could have one of two tent sites, but on our 3rd day we were told we had to move sites. We asked if they could give us 4 bundles of wood to make up for the inconvenience of moving, but only gave us 1, then gave us a hard time about it. Please try harder next time to be more flexible & keep folks happy!

Even though it was cold, we had a wonderful time tent camping. The labyrinth was amazing, beautiful áreas to walk, creeks, rivers and activities were plentiful. Loved that there was a fire pit/ grill combo. Staff were extremely friendly in the office, especially Doug. The registration process was simple and we definitely plan to return.

Tent camping site was clean; firewood was supplied and the area was very quiet.

This is our second stay at Ventura Ranch KOA in the last two months. We love the location. The setting is beautiful. The staff is friendly and kind. The restrooms are clean. The store is well-stocked in case you forget something. As a mother tent camping alone with my children, I felt safe. I am new to KOA; this set the standard for me.

Doug is the kindest person ever! Really enjoyed chatting with him and making me feel welcome as a first time camper. He really made sure I knew where everything was and made me feel at home. Thank you Doug!! See you next time!!

It's probably because of the season (staying in Nov) but would still like to have more planned activities created by KOA.The rope course/zipline was planned for Saturday and Tuesday but were cancelled due to winds.Kids were disappointed to see the course but not be able to go on it.Even though on the map there was cornhole,bocce ball&climbing wall,we didn't see anything set up.

Staff and the overall campground and amenities are nice. A good variety of things to do for kids if you're there in peak season or weekends in the off season. Probably a good idea to call & talk to staff about what what sites are like when you book. In my opinion, the southeastern outer edge sites aren't as nice, hence likely the less expensive ones.

The staff is great at check in. From answering questions over the phone and helping out in person. The toilets in the tent sites were very clean. I do think the tent sites are a bit pricy for what they are. I understand there’s a lot of amenities but still a tad too expensive for an empty tent site. We would come more often if the price was cheaper

We came with our homeschooling group. We loved it! Loved all the activities offered. The boys really enjoyed rock climbing since they are not heavy enough to do the zip lining rope adventure hopefully next time. Ryann was very friendly and provided great, easy check in and directing rock climbing too.

We had a shaded spot and it was absolutely perfect. During the night time, the restroom lights were not on which it was a bit inconvenient but our headlights solved that issue.

We were disappointed. Our campsites had a lot of trash in them. The restrooms were dirty, toilet paper not placed in dispensers, paper towels ran out. Also, the lights didn't work in the restroom on Saturday night. Trash in the creek too! We like how's it's been rebuilt/improved since the fire. But it was disappointing that it was not as clean/nice as it was the last time we were there.

Our stay was stupendous! We can't remember the names of the entire staff we encountered but "great" began with Carol! Alexis & Sarah, too! The store is filled with things you need & things you'll love. The site was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous & well maintained. Can't say enough about the staff. And love the peacocks & hens!! One of our best CG's! Be back soon! Great location close to Ventura Harbor, Ojai & downtown Santa Paula.!

This was our second visit to this RV campground. The place is so relaxing and peaceful. There are cool peacocks roaming, the staff is incredibly nice and friendly and the store/ office is open late if you need something.
