No hot water out of bathroom faucets, totally wasn't happy about that.. And Shower heads were crap! a light mist no streams of water.. By the time your getting shampoo out the water turned cold :| big foot hike was a joke.. General store is barely stocked with anything useful for camping :| Plus side is tons of activities for the kids.. Only reason I would endure above comments again

Management has done a fantastic job in upgrading and improving the overall appearance and functionality of this campground! Kudos to them! We plan on visiting often as it is only 90 minutes away and offers a beautiful 'get-away' without traveling too far from home....

Wonderful koa! great organization , staff helpful Sunday breakfast was enjoyable.

Great first time glamping experience. Rented a Glamour Tent which was amazing! Staff was pleasant & the peacocks are beautiful. Creek nearby is small, campsite walkway/road is hilly, no shade or seating at playgrond. The store lacked in supplies if you forget something but close enough town market. Wish there was more inside hands on actities for kids. Overall a nice stay. pool coming soon

Loved it...was my first time and it was amazing. The staff was great...especially Chealsey. She made what would have been a terrible event an absolutely wonderful family weekend. Thank you...thank you...thank you!

The only thing lacking is a pool, and it my understanding that they will be putting one in soon. We even made reservations for next mother's day before we left

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our whole group already booked for another time!

Very clean! Lots of entertainment for kids! This was our first time at the KOA & loved it!! The people that work the KOA are very friendly !

We stayed in Site 3, and I was a bit disappointed that there is no grass in the full hook up sites. Also, the gravel/rocks in these sites makes it difficult for children/dogs to enjoy. I'm certain we will be back, and we still enjoy the full hook up sites, but would really prefer some paving and grass. Can't wait for the pool!!!

Great campground - tons of activities for kids & adults alike. The staff is marvelous. They have great plans for this facility. Can't wait to camp here again.

Site description on website map was misleading. Quite warm back in valley, KOA offered no pool or splash pad to help cool down.

Great place Lots of activities for all ages. Cant wait until the pool is done will be even better!
May 13, 2013
clogged toilets, moldy bathrooms, trash and debris from construction all over the place, clubhouse never open, store has nothing in it, I'll not return or recommend it to anyone

Had a great time & can't wait to go back! Unfortunately we will not return until Fall due to the hot weather - wish the pool was done already!!

It would be nice if there was a bit of grass on the tent sites. People in my area were VERY noisy. The bathrooms were okay.

Pluses: Nice location with great activities for kids and the beautiful view of the mountains is a plus. Minuses: bathrooms are awful with limited privacy between women & men stalls, showers are co-ed with short spurts of hot water, and the worst of it all, 1/2 of the toilets don't flush.

The staff is the best.

Pretty good stay. Very secluded, fun spot. However, they seemed disorganized. We reserved a spot with water and electric, but weren't given an electric spot. it was an extra $2 add on we didn't get. this disorganization is typical of all KOA though, sites in my experience. We were in the Oaks loop.

We rented the Playful Bear Tipi #14 and it was clean & neat. The rivers end bathroom was under construction but kept up very well. The staff did a great job. Overall the campground is great it is a work in progress and I will definitely come again.

1st day got lost getting there. Once there, couldn't get in cause they gave us the wrong code to unlock the cabin. They didn't tell us that the mini kitchen in the cabin didn't have a stove. No pool, or very much for our kids to do there. Last minute we needed new groceries because we had no stove, and the nearest grocery store was many miles away. Very isolated and miles away from the freeway.

I was shocked and angered by the early check-in fee. I made reservatons by phone and was not warned about this unusual fee. Many senior citizens rise early and try to get their traveling done before lunch. We travel 5 months of the year and always check in before noon. This has never been a problem at any KOA before and we stayed in 9 KOA campgounds last spring.

My wife, family, and myself had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed the companion of the local peacocks. The bathrooms are some of the nicest camping bathrooms we've seen along with the roomy showers. All of the hiking and nature is great for exploring children. We will be coming back here on a regular basis and have already spread the word. Thanks for the memories.

We had a nice clean spot and quite stay. Peacocks and birds to watch. Restrooms are clean also.

We really enjoyed are stay, We camp yearly with a large group in Jan at Lake Casitas. I sent pictures and a group text to my friends seeing if they would like to make a change. I recomened Ventura Ranch Koa. By the next day All sites in Pine, 6 cabins and so far 2 glamor tents were booked. We are staying Jan 17 18 19 I was wondering since I had referred are group if we could have are stay free.

We loved everything about the stay. Beautiful campgrounds, clean, really nice spaces. The only issue was the loud noise one night from the Peacocks. Pretty constant all night. But that's nature. Very nice campground. We will go again.

The campground is absolutely beautiful!Didn't enjoy the peacocks screaming early in the a.m.~but it's their season. For sure I'll be back!

Camped in tipis with our Girl Scout troop of 12. Girls had a fantastic time! From ziplining, rock climbing and wading in Bigfoots Watering Hole, they loved every minute. Can't wait to return!

I loved the way it felt like a secluded and somewhat intimate camping experience even though the place was packed with people. We felt like we had lots of privacy and space to explore and do our own thing. We stayed in a tipi and that is something I think every person should experience. The staff was nice and friendly. Overall I highly recommend!

This was are Girl Scouts second troop camp-out here. The only issue we have that happened last time as well is with the restrooms breaking down and flooding. But we will be back again.
Apr 30, 2013
We love it there. Beautiful landscaping (a little muddy at our site in Birch loop), clean, friendly. We will return often!
Apr 30, 2013
We had a fantastic visit! We came for my daughters Birthday. We will return once the pool has been installed because the "Big Foot Water Hole is very small and very mossy. We will also bring ear plugs so we can sleep past 5:00am. That is when the Peacocks wake up! LOL
