Campground Reviews

We have stayed at this resort multiple times over the past several years. This will be our first time on an extended stay. The only issue that I have had that some of your guests do not understand nor appreciate the facility's pet rules. 2 weeks ago, I reported to the front desk that a senior gentleman became very combative over our Serice-dog in training.

One of our favorites over the years is falling into disrepair

This KOA Park has plenty of room, is very well maintained, very secure and has friendly staff. They have nearly every possible amenity, from multiple pools and spas to shaded spaces and spaces with private lawns for dogs, plus a well-stocked store and good restaurant offering entertainment.

This KOA is one of the best KOA we have stayed at. The other was at west Glacier. I do think it is extremely expensive to stay here. But they have a lot of amenities. Two pools a very nice BBQ restaurant. Nice gated pet areas right there at your campsite.

We had a wonderful stay. The hosts and wonderful people at the front desk with friendly, professional, and great at assisting us with any needs or questions. The bathrooms, showers, and common areas are clean. I noticed that the women's bathrooms were cleaned everyday at 9am, which is a high foot traffic time for bathrooms. It would be better for those getting ready in the morning ifcleaning later

This KOA is well organized, the sites are large with a concrete patio, table and chairs and trash pick up morning and evening. We would highly recommend this KOA

Great as always, favorite KOA for us in USA

Site (1478) was WAY too small for my 44' RV. And we had to pay a premium.

Nice easy access to and from park. Clean and quiet.

Alway a great visit.

I was offered a 25% discount to extend my stay, but never received it! We stayed in a premium spot for the last two days and a discount would've been nice.

Stayed in cabin 10. Only issue was the door catching on the step landing. Kind of annoying. BBQ rush experience was not good. One of our party be ordered a chicken dish. The server returned to say they were out of the sauce. Got her order after the rest of us were done eating. I ordered smoked meatloaf and got the scraps from the bottom of the pan. Wife’s chicken tenders were cold and old

We stayed one month and starting our second month. Our RV site is great! Neighbors with dogs barking a lot but it is what it is. Husband used showers & found building often cold. Time for upgrade. Staff friendly when in contact. Received daily text of the days activities. Love the lemon, oranges & grapefruit trees in the area at sites. Would stay again if in area. Thank you Shelly and Steve

This place is pretty inside and overall pretty decent. If they would figure out how to update the laundry room and put washers that work along with a real work out room with equipment that works it would be a 5 star. Getting someone to actually do the yard work on a schedule would be good too.

Should ask for a picture...lot, manager, water problems, holes left open with live wires, all that in 31 days.

Enjoyed all the activities and friendly staff. Having a restaurant on site was awesome. DJ was kind of boring though.

Very nice facility

Everything was fabulous EXCEPT when we arrived. The person checking us was not friendly, very short with her answers and not welcoming like other KOA’s or campsites. It put a bad taste in our mouth and not a way to welcome us to Tucson.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.
