We love to stay at KOA.This is our second time in Townsend, Tn. We were in spot 85. There was a huge dead tree at the side of this spot and the falling debris from the dead tree was all over our truck & Airstream. It made for a messy truck and trailer.. We have already reserved next year for 12 days and will not be in this spot. I think it would be advantageous to have the dead tree cut down.

The staff are so good at what they do. Those people helping park are the best! No confusion with directions and help park your RV perfectly. The office staff are very kind and helpful! The bathrooms are always clean and comfortable.

The campground is clean and sites are spacious. Couple of drawbacks: We had to inform the desk that we were KOA members because the reduction wasn’t included, and no one had asked us at time of reservation. Even with the discount, we think $100 per night is too expensive. Also, we would have appreciated a couple of activities geared towards adults, as we were not there with children on this trip

Always a great experience every time we visit Townsend. Little kids love the playground and the older ones love the river.

We stayed in site #30. A beautiful patio site. However a bit short for our 40ft coach. We could not get our bikes in and out of site due to landscape right at the front door of coach! All workers were friendly and the campground was spotless d well groomed. We will be back

Nice few days, love the river. But the river site on top of price. The large and deep fire rings are not a positive.

Very friendly staff. Adam was just super super nice. A little jammed for our camper spot but otherwise OK. Many options to choose from. Many nice cabins by the creek. Wow. Nice dog park, good bathhouse.

The people working there are great and very helpful. The cable signal is horrible. The wifi is also weak.

Overall good stay. Bathrooms need more attention during the day, kept running out of toilet paper and towels. Ladies in office not overly nice, outside crew was more friendly. Have been staying there a while but am starting to look at other campgrounds in area

This was our 2nd stay here - we love it! Sites are a little more crowded than we would like, but being in the woods is fantastic! Love the prime location. Wish the roads in the campground were paved so the little ones could enjoy their bikes/trikes more. Had a site next to the basketball court. Even though quiet hours were obeyed there was a good bit of noise pollution. Staff are super friendly.

Staff was fabulous, and the facilities were very clean. The campground maintenance perfect. Only suggestion would be to isolate the trash areas to one hidden area, but that could be challenging. Beautiful campground and love the river!

We were very grateful a spot was available last minute when we called, the same day, a few hours away. And then the spot we got was phenomenal! Gorgeous, right by the river. The attendant was super helpful, bringing us firewood just before he left for the night. The facilities were beautiful, easy, and convenient. We would definitely come back!

This is the best KOA that we have stayed at. Extremely helpful staff, facilities are always clean, and the sites and scenery cannot be beaten in the country.

Super responsive check-in team. The campground is always operating room clean. As always, we enjoyed our stay. They make it look easy but, as we all know, easy is hard. One thing we noticed this year was the WiFi was so much more reliable and high speed. Very grateful for that! We appreciate the extreme efforts of everyone who made sure our stay was the best.

We had a wonderful stay. The people were so nice and helpful. Very clean and landscaped nice. I have had numerous back and neck surgeries so the help parking was a real blessing. We will be back ! Thank You - M.M.

This is our third time to stay here. We have enjoyed each stay. We had to leave a day early because one of us was sick all week long. We received an unexpected refund for the last day. We appreciate that.

Campground was quiet, clean, and well maintained. The river is a unique feature of the campground! The close proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is also a big plus! Our site was a quite narrow for our preference and the fire ring was practically unusable due to its closeness to the trailer. Overall would likely stay here again but at a different site.

We live less than 30 minutes away (a Maryville) and brought our RV so we could use your KOA as a home base to see all the surrounding sites and so hikes nearby. We hiked to beautiful waterfalls, swam in the river, got ice cream at Burger Master and lounged by the pool. We will definitely be back to play tourist again.

We visited this site for our first ever trip in our RV. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. The sites were very clean and well maintained. The overall vibe was comfortable and inviting. The staff did a jay ride with super soakers around the camp. It was nonstop laughter and joy. We will be visiting again very soon!

Our visit for five days was outstanding. Only half of my kids were there with their families. So next year, all of my kids (age 30–42) will be there in four different spots and we are already booked. Had a great time. See you in June 2024.

Our stay was fabulous. The camp hosts Jeff and Trina, were by far the best camp hosts that we have come across yet. One suggestion that i have however is to watch the ivy that is growing up some of the trees. The ivy will choke off the trees and eventually kill them.

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.
