This campground is one of our favorites. We go every year. The riverfront sites are awesome and the campground location near Cades Cove is the best. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our campsite (#9)...Great view of the river....Staff was nice and kept everything spotless...My husband loved the Shower rooms..very, very clean! Nice...we will be back for sure. Townsend is the quiet side of the Smokies and we have stayed in Pigeon Forge before, prefer Townsend hands down. Just a short drive to Cades Cove...loved it.

First time staying at a koa. We have only stayed in state parks which we love. Everything was great on our visit! A+ to all the staff and everything really.

We love coming to Koa Townsend . We have been coming the same time every year for many years. We make our reservations before we leave for the next year. Everyone is always so nice and the campground is always clean.

the site were VERY small. I could barely fit my small jeep on the site and too close together. I was practically in my neighbors laps so I could hear everything going on outside. Other than that the location is amazing and the services and amenities are great

Wonderful staff they even help guide you into your site and will deliver firewood and propane right to you. Our toilet got stopped up and they gave me a snake to use that got the job done. My wife and I love camping there and have already booked 2 trips for 2024

Was mostly happy with the stay at the townsend KOA. Sites were fairly spread out. Staff was nice and helpful. Wasn't happy about the "no propane firepits" rule, while gas grills were allowed. Not being able to enjoy the outdoors because you don't have any way for heat during the winter months makes camping there pretty useless. Debris fire bans made sense but propane bans did not.

Great stay. Very friendly & helpful staff. Loved our site. Very private with tons of trees & shrubs with a great outdoor space. This campground is situated next to the Little River & the Great Smokey Mountains making it a very peaceful & quiet location. We very much enjoyed the Townsend area and would come back again!

Had a smaller spot, backed into a wooded spot with a view of the river across site 100. We spent two nights there and enjoyed our time while there. Bathhouse showers Rock!!

Girl at front desk at check in was rude and unfiendly. I will not be back to Little River KOA The campgrounds are not up to the usual standards. Its sad we have been going to this campground since 2001 with previous owners. Our last two visits were not enjoyable due to your staff and we will not be back.

Our stay was very uneventful. We enjoyed our stay, and was never disturbed by any outrageous noises, traffic or staff. Staff was present thru out the day, and always seemed happy with their job, professional and always willing to help. They had a lovely fenced in area for K9s, which was wonderful d/t us having our 2 fur babies with us. Beautiful scenery, calm atmosphere, and clean facilities.

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.

Very quiet and peaceful. The bath house is to far from the camping cabins though.
