Local Area Attractions
Many different local attractions await you at this KOA location. With Toronto and Canada's Wonderland 30 minutes away, and the beautiful beaches of Innisfil and Barrie minutes away there is plenty to keep you busy during your visit.
Toronto - 45min - 1 hr (Downtown)
Take time to visit the CN Tower, and the Rogers Centre which is home to the Toronto Blue Jays all summer long. You are able to catch the subway at Yorkdale Mall (40 min) and take it right to Union Station (downtown Toronto). Other highlights include the St. Lawrence Market, Royal Ontario Museum, Castleloma, and excellent shopping at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Enjoy all that the Toronto area has to offer while experiencing the great outdoors at our campground.
Innisfil - Minutes
Beautiful Lake Simcoe lays a mere five minutes away and offers many recreation activites including swimming at Innisfil Beach Park, boating, and even excellent fishing oppurtunities. Boat rentals are offered from a local marina. Visit the renowned 400 Market and Antiques Market located one exit north of Hwy 89. Every Saturday night Sunset Speedway is also home to exciting stock car racing. Try your luck at Georgian Downs and OLG Slots, or enjoy shopping at Tanger Outlets Cookstown located across from the campground.
Vaughan - 30 min
In Vaughan you can visit Canada's Wonderland or enjoy shopping at Vaughan Mills Mall and Bass Pro Shops. Vaughan Mills is also home to the NASCAR Race Experience, which also features NASCAR collectibles and memorabilia. Be sure to enjoy McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and the Boyd Conservation Area. Enjoy all of this minutes from our campground.
Barrie - 10 min
Enjoy all that Barrie and area has to offer. You can relax downtown on the beach at Centennial Park, and then wander up through the beautiful streets which feature shopping and dining. Also be sure to enjoy the view from the water on the Serendipity Princess which leaves directly from the downtown docks. Bring your clubs along and play at one of many golf courses or driving ranges that Barrie has to offer.
Collingwood - 1 Hr
Visit the stunning views from Blue Mountain which is home to plenty of recreation activities for everyone. Enjoy the thrill of hiking through trails and caves at the Collingwood Scenic Caves. The village at Blue Mountain offers the true village feel with cafes, shops, and great dining options. If you would rather just relax visit Le Scandinave Spa to enjoy thermal baths and a full spa including massages. Also in the area is the quaint village of Creemore which is home to the Creemore Springs Brewery.
Wasaga Beach - 45 min
Wasaga Beach is home to 14 kilometers of white sand beach and is the largest fresh water beach in the world. Wasaga 500 Go-Karts also offers racing, batting cages, and mini-golf. The beach area offers plenty of options for both shopping/dining and beach rentals.
Sunset Speedway - Minutes
Just 40 minutes north of Toronto, Innisfil's Biggest Family Attraction is providing excitement every Saturday night from May to September. It's been 45 years since Sunset Speedway first had the thrills and spills of stock car racing tear up its 1/3 mile oval on Hwy 11 in Innisfil, Ontario. Come out to see why they are the number one family Attraction, as kids 11 and under are free, and there is no extra charge for the excitement. The concessions and washrooms are easily accessed and have all the amenities you would expect, as Sunset Speeway also provides wheelchair access. If you are looking for an evening filled with adrenaline pumping action that will keep you at the edge of your seat, join us at one of our events, where the action is the attraction.
Toronto Pearson International Airport is 40 minutes from our campground.
