The staff is wonderful and accommodating. The sites are spacious but there is no cable. I suggest asking for a site in the back of the park due to road noise. You are close to stores, restaurants and the historic area.

Way too pot holes on steets and sites in dis repair. Place seems to be going down hill since my last visit.

Right next to I-30. Lots of highway noise all night. Very little space between sites. Looks run down and outdated. Laundry had 4 washers but two were out of order. Confusing access from and to I-30.

The staff was very helpful, originally I had just booked one night, but due to mechanical issues with my truck, that turned into four nights. They were very helpful in accommodating my needs. The campground is right on the highway, and there are a lot of mobile homes in the park, almost as if it were a mobile home community that was converted to a campground. But, it suited my needs just fine.

Planes Trains and Automobiles...if that is what you like as back ground noise all night long this is the place for you. I have been doing quite a bit of RV traveling this year and I am a KOA member so stay in a KOA when I can. I feel like the camp host called me while I was on the road to take my money so I could not change my mind when I got there. The traffic noise is so loud! No Sleep!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The card is charged when online reservation is made. A refund is given when customer changes mind within 1 hour of check-in, Most customers like the site direction call prior to arrival. Our I-30 location results in road noise.Some customers are bothered by the noise while some are not.

Mens shower had low water pressure and would not drain. over all park was clean,and well maintained.

The staff call and check on us as we were driving there. She was super helpful and friendly. The people staying there we also friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were super clean and all working. For my son’s first camping experience he loved it with meant so much. Being a single mom doing the camping thing with my 11 year old I felt very safe.

It was OK, but not up to the KOA standards of today. The nice lady at the front desk needed more help. I also never saw another KOA employee or volunteer anywhere. Too much dog poop not picked up. Plus the trains less than 100 yards away. Plus the expressway less than 100 yards away.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We expect pet owners to pick up after there dogs, and some of them have no ethics. Staff is always available just a phone call away from front desk many tasks are completed before noon.

Booked and paid for 30/50 amp. But when we arrived at 9pm the 50 amp did not work. We require a 50 amp for our rv. It was a cold night because we could only run one furnace and nothing else at the same time. Tried to call but no answer and tried to talk to office next day but no one was in office all morning up until we left at 10am. Very disappointing stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Actually someone was in the office at 9 am on Saturday April 2. The Manager's cell phone is listed on the emergency numbers posted at the RV registration office. We regret we were not able to get a phone call in the evening, we would have replaced the 50 am breaker.

Not really your fault but that place is entirely too close to the Highway. Way too noisy (Highway noise) and the campsites are in disrepair. I won’t be back. I won’t recommend anyone stay there. Your staff was friendly. Your shower house was acceptable. The laundry worked but was expensive. Your Internet service was not useable for work.

Campground was what I considered in disrepair. Not what I am used to at a KOA. We have stayed at other "Journey" KOAs, but the traffic and train noise was awful. Not much help finding my site, had to make a loop through to finally find it; camp hosts/owners were nice on the phone, but not any real help on arrival. Would I stay there again? Not unless I had to.

We have stayed at the Texarkana KOA twice, 1 night each coming and going to and from south Texas. The campground is easily accessible from the interstate and the rv sites are toward the entrance. Exactly what we needed, a comfortable, clean and easy resting point while traveling.

The stay was fine. But the sites are really close to the highway. Heard the traffic all of the time. Staff was nice. Bathrooms clean, laundry room clean.

An older KOA. It is clean and has the basics for a one night stay. We met a homeless man in the bathrooms, which I reported. The man told us he was and had been staying/using the bathrooms for a some time. Someone should have noticed and changed the code. Security or more staff needed to feel safe here. I was not comfortable in the bathroom/ laundry by myself.

Very convenient for travelers, easy to get a reservation and straight forward to get in and out. Like many KOAs they are near the highway, so there is some traffic noise to contend with, but the flip side of that is convenience and easy access. The grounds and facilities were well tended and clean. I may be back next week!

it's clean at the sites. the staff, when you find them do not seem interested in helping or offering any input. I've been there twice, and I've used the number to call for information and there is no answer. If this is the only place for me to stop off, It's clean, and hook ups work well. If I wanted to stay for anyreason, I'd find another place.

It was good for last minute decision to stay there, and the guy checking me in accommodated my wanting a spot farther from the highway noise. Very nice. So that was good. Directions to get into this KOA are really tight coming off the great eastbound. We missed the turn in the frontage road. Had to turn around. It's an ok place for one night or two.

Friendly service, very nice looking location. Shower stall water stream was very weak, and the drain was also plugged up. this was in the stall right next to the janitor closet; first one to the right. Other than that, everything fine.

Didn’t need the facilities have everything in our RV so I can’t speak to those. But the outside was picked up and neat. rte 30 was raised and there is a retaining wall that traffic noise reverberates off of so it’s a bit louder than most. But ok for a night or

Central location, easy access to stores. Noisy …just off the interstate. Small RV park by the interstate, the remainder of the site is dedicated to a mobile home park.

I specifically choose KOA whenever possible because i usually know what to count on. This location is a little old and could use some spiffing up, but I would probably stay again if it fit the time and place requirements as it did this time.

Not only was the mattress in the cabin about 1,000x better than any of those slabs of solid rock they try to pass off as a damn mattress at most hotels, it came with sheets and pillows too! Our cabin was clean, the ladies at the front desk were nice, it was overall a great place to stay. The only downside is the location, it's right next to a feeder road so you get some road noise. It would be a bigger deal for tent campers, but trailers and those like us with cabins have a bit of insulation so it wasn't terrible.
