Six Flags over Georgia
Conveniently located west of Atlanta, SIx Flags over Georgia is the Atlanta area's biggest, most popular family attraction featuring dozens of thrill rides, shows, and activities. The park is open seasonally during the spring and summer months and operates on limited days and hours during the fall and winter months. Anniston Museum of Natural History
Exploring the wilds of Africa, the wonders of the North American wilderness or the mysteries of 2,000 year old mummies are just some of exciting adventures waiting for you in the seven exhibit halls of the Anniston Museum of Natural History. There's something for everyone!

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
Located about 45 minutes west of the campground, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is dedicated to the presentation, interpretation, exhibition and history of motorcycles, vintage vehicles and motorsports. In addition to housing the world's best motorcycle collection, the museum has over 1200 vintage and modern motorcycles and racecars as well as the largest collection of Lotus cars and other significant makes. The collection is the largest of its kind in the world!The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is located at the 830 acre Barber Motorsports Park that includes a world class 2.38 mile racetrack.

Fishing at Henry Neely Lake
Enjoy great fishing nearby at Henry Neely Lake- short distance to some of the best fishing around.
The falls are located in the city of Gadsden. A short drive to see the historical falls where legend has it that Princess Noccalula jumped to her death when she could not marry her true love!. The main feature of the park is a notable 90-foot waterfall with a gorge trail- great for a day hike and don't miss the train ride.

Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the two renowned bike trails that are just a short drive from our campground!
- Coldwater Mountain Bike Trail - With its location within sight of downtown Anniston, Coldwater is a retreat into 4,000 acres of Alabama's Forever Wild Land Trust property, featuring 26 miles of trails, 11 more under construction and a total of 70 planned! The creek runs along the trail and can often be heard. While this is one of the top destination mountain bike trail systems in the US, runners and hikers are also welcome, though they should take the courses backwards so as to be aware of oncoming cyclists.
- Chief Ladiga Trail - This "must experience" paved recreational trail currently runs 32.5 miles from the Alabama/Georgia line into Weaver with an extension planned into Anniston. Ladiga follows the former Seaboard/CSX Railroad, connecting to Georgia's 63 mile Silver Comet Trail.

Paddle down Terrapin Creek
Canoe or kayak on the clean, clear water of Terrapin Creek and experience scenery, fishing and wildlife, the likes of which you've never seen anywhere else! The Terrapin Outdoor Center, located at 4114 County Road 175 in Piedmont, is the area's premiere paddlesports specialty shop - and they even rent canoes and kayaks! Cheaha Challenge 2015
Scheduled for May 17, 2015, the Cheaha Challenge is a 100 mile bike ride from northern Calhoun County to Mount Cheaha (the highest point in Alabama). The ride will also include a 24 mile extension to challenge experienced riders along with a 24 mile milder ride on the Chief Ladiga Trail.
