The location is great, but more expensive than other KOAs. For us it is convenient to town, events,and the bike trails. The workers and ladies in the office are helpful and friendly. This was our second year here and we have already booked for next year.

Stayed for over a week, convenient location to town. We were on site 102 which did have a nice table and chairs and fire pit with chairs. The rigs are pretty close together and unfortunately we had barking dogs on one side and loud music on the other side well after 10pm (but it was a holiday weekend). Also no grass gown yet so when it rains there is mud as soon as you step off the patio.

The cabin had everything we needed and it was spotless. The office crew was very helpful and friendly.

we really appreciated the cleanliness of the campground and facilities. KOA staff were super helpful and knowledgeable. Enjoyed meeting other campers. The pool was perfect for dips and the location was perfect for activities in Steamboat. The highway noise was annoying in the early evening, but we expected it, However it quieted down and was actuallly quiet in the middle of the night.

Stayed in a camping cabin on the river... loved it. The people that worked there were friendly and helpful, I really appreciate that. The only thing I would change is the funky door opener. You had to pull on a string which lifted a a piece of wood inside to open the door. It was awkward, especially when my hands were full. Getting it to latch properly when leaving took a bit of finagling too.

Beautiful and clean KOA. Super friendly and helpful staff, too. We stayed for 10 days, and the location is ideal for any activity you have planned for the area.

The staff and manager (Laurie) are amazing. They've gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs during our stay, and we are very pleased with the cleanliness, professionalism, and practices the business is doing. Their performance is 5 stars!

First site we were placed in was crude. Asked to be moved to be moved to another site, was much better. Also, they charged extra for our two dogs. Always go to KOA campgrounds and being charged for our pets was very disappointing.Other than that it was good.

We liked our stay. The spots are rather tight but the staff are very helpful with parking you. They patrol for any questions or problems. Very close proximity to Steamboat Springs. The grounds were clean and well maintained. I felt the bathrooms could have been bigger for the amount of spots but they were very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

Would have rated the stay higher, except that an RV pulled into the spot next to ours about 10:30pm. The people inside proceeded to scream, curse, and honk the horn. To top it off, about midnight police came and proceeded to have a long discussion with the woman passenger right outside our bed slide out til 1am. Had thought KOA could have offered a refund for very unpleasant & disrupted night.

The staff were so pleasant, kind, helpful and professional. The entire camp ground was spotless, well-kept and common areas were super clean. I felt safe at night. The location was close to town and easy to find. It was a lovely campground and I can’t wait to come back!

Crowded, but shouldn't be unexpected considering it's in a resort town. Part of our circumstance was our own fault because we didn't call ahead for a reservation. And then we were hrs with no cell service coming across sparcely populated Rt 40. We wound up in one of their "last resort" spots with no water or sewer hook-up and only 30-amp service. But was a safe spot off the road for the night.

Hidden fees not disclosed at time of reservation nor at check÷in. Staff didn't care and manager wouldn't return call. Park not to daily rate standards. Overall, worst KOA experience we have ever had and we have stayed at a lot of KOAs (VIP status). Not only will I make effort to warn others of this KOA, I have a much lower opinion of KOA overall due to KOA allowing park to operate in this manner

We spent three nights at the Steamboat KOA. The staff, in it's entirety, was friendly and helpful! The grounds were extremely tidy. Clean facilities. The camp store was a fun little surprise! Beyond the typical grocery needs, fun sweatshirts, jewelry, and gifts. Lots of shady spots! Many of the sites were extremely close together. Park carefully and have your door on the more private side.

You can’t beat the location and proximity to town. I rated our stay lower because it is really expensive for what you get. The sites are crammed together and unless you’re near the river, the sites aren’t very pretty. We also had a family show up after hours and park on the grass next to us. They fought loudly and threw things. I had to call the police to get the situation resolved.

Made reservations the day of my stay and when it looked like I was going to get to the campground late, the manager called to check on me! Wow!! Campground was clean, all amenities exceeded expectations. Thank you KOA

The good part was the access to the beautiful clean river. My dog loved it. What I didn't like is it was very expensive, my site was right next to the highway with loud road noise all night, the bathrooms were not clean. The same hairballs were in the shower all 3 nights we were there. The manager who checked us in did not mention that the bathroom code would change leaving me with no night bathro

We used to be camping snobs. We would NEVER stay at a KOA. But then we gave it a try a few years ago, and man, were we pleasantly surprised. And of all the KOA's we have stayed at since then, Steamboat is the best. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It's located in a great spot, with easy bus transportation to town, and immaculately clean. We will definitely return.

Beautiful campground with lots of amenities. My son had a camping spot and I had a deluxe cabin-both were awesome. The cabin was cleaned and well-maintained, with kitchen supplies, toilet paper and soap. Staff were great, contacting us to give details for late check-in. Store next to office is great!

Great option to stay in town in the winter. We travel in our Sprinter 144 and there are not a lot of options for stealth camping in the winter. On one of our nights the temp dropped dramatically and well below the forecast. Woke up with a nearly dead battery and some diesel that was gelled. The staff supplied me with a trickle charger and a propane heater to point towards the undercarriage. Got the engine running in now time. The guys there helped me out big time.
