Care Camps Weekend Success!
We did something a little different this year; instead of giving our campers a free night for Care Camps weekend, we gave our campers a tax-deductible half-price Saturday night when they booked Friday, with the second night's fees going directly to Care Camps.
We also worked REALLY hard with the help of local businesses and artisans to bring our campers an AMAZING raffle and silent auction, with such prizes as drive-in movie tickets, gift certificates to area restaurants and shops, tickets to the American Shakespeare Center, and more.
Between all these efforts, our FANTASTIC campers helped us raise over $1,500 for KOA Care Camps, more than five times what we raised last year. Thanks to you guys, to our amazing local community, and our campers, we had an incredibly successful Care Camps weekend (despite the rain!).
We can't wait to do it all again next year!
Dog Park Open for Pooches!
After several weeks of long hours at work, our dog park is now open to your canine friends! The park is without water, so you may wish to come prepared with water and a bowl for your furry pal, but there's a large, grassy fenced area for play, as well as a picnic table in the shade for you.
We do ask that all pet parents stay with their dog during playtime.
Upper Bathhouse Now Open All Year!
We've finally installed a heating system in our Upper Bathhouse, and so now it's open year-round! Tent and cabin campers will no longer need to trek down to the Lower Bathhouse to shower or do laundry in the winter - yippee!
Camping near the lake or in the meadow? We have great news for you, too. The Lower Bathhouse ALSO has a new heating system, so you'll stay toasty during your showers, too.
