A Revolutionary War Weekend is usually the first weekend in October. It celebrates the upcountry's rich Revolutionary War heritage with events at Cowpens National Battlefield, Kings Mountain National Military Park, and Walnut Grove Plantation. All programs at Cowpens National Battlefield are free and open to the public.
