Tried to escape bad storms and arrived early at campground, told it was okay to pull in, the site was empty. When went up to checkin, had a $15 early checkin charge, didn’t mind the charge as much as not being told about it when we came in. People are traveling & dealing with weather, traffic & time zone changes, was worried rest of trip about being charged if we arrived early! No other charges!

Very noisy park. Lots of freeway noise and TONS of fireworks. I would expect it for the 4th of July, but not the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Management put me in a tree covered space. I wanted a satellite friendly space, also the tons of tree dropping you get on a motorhome can be quite damaging. I was told there were no other spaces that would fit my 40 foot motorhome. I saw several all around me. Hmm

I love this KOA but our spot was covered in dog poop. Camp personal very friendly and great. I would suggest inspections after campers leave and fine those in wrong doing. I always stay here on trips and will continue to do so.

Overnight stay was convenient. Very friendly staff and clean facility. They even have a pizza oven for fresh pizzas.

Depending on whether or no my friend has and uses air conditioning at night I would advise them of the traffic noise. I do not use air conditioning and leave my windows open. The road noise made sleeping difficult.

Very secure with gate opening. This was our 1st time to stay at KOA with the gate secured with the pass code.

It was just an overnight stay as we were traveling through. Most friendly staff, easy in and out. Looked like great place for kids with playgrounds and activities. Slept well, up and out early. If we pass through on another travel, we will certainly stop here.

We were only there for one night, but I was not impressed! We’re traveling KOA across the country, this one was just OK. The restroom was out of soap and towels to wash hands. We reported that to the office. Response: Housekeeping will be here later and they’ll take care of it. WHAT?!!!

We apologize if there was a miscommunication. Our cleaning staff was clocking in at the time of notification and took care Of the missing supplies first as we go through lots of product over holiday weekends.

Is close to interstate and a little noisey

We agree the interstate can be noisy at times. The city, however, is not planning any barriers at this time.

Overnight stay only. Sewer cover was missing next to us. That camper was overnight too and not hooking up his sewer so we put our cap on his. A young lady had brought a 2x4 piece of wood to cover it but it didn’t cover it nor the smell. No other issues. Nice campground and staff.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Sioux City North KOA on our way to Montana. The employees are AMAZING! The sites are level and we don’t have to unhook for our 1 night stay. We will be back.

Staff was very helpful and informative. This was the trial run for our new rv and my son and family (who live nearby) had to pay a $20 visitor fee just to come in and see it. Staff said they were welcome to use the pool and playground. It was too cold to swim and playground equipment was so run down (especially mini golf) that it was a waste of $20.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have A $5 visiting fee per person that is explained prior to arrival and at check in. We also have many amenities for those visitors to be able to use with you. Heated pool, staffed planned activities, jumping pillow, gem mining, jump pad, Gaga ball. We also discussed the mini golf Reno.

Overall great place - lots of “nice” things. A grill that works, playgrounds, pool - and everything is well maintained and kept up. Everything works - and the people who run the place really care.

From the 1st phone call to our arrival to check in the ladies who with all it were very professional. The pizza we ordered tasted great and arrived very quickly.

The folks that work here are wonderful, helpful and all seem to love their jobs. We liked the fact that the campground has many shade trees. Would have rated it a 5-star if they would have had cable TV available.

We like the campground a lot they had many amenities. The only downfall we saw at the campground is the fact that you have a highway that's very noisy all day long even at the pool you can hear the highway it's very loud. It'd be nice if you had some kind of sound baffles you can put up along the property so we don't have to listen to All of the highway noise. Exception of noise we liked it.

Great KOA. Wife and I had a great stay!!! Nice trees and great pull-through spots. Staff was very friendly and the restrooms/showers were very clean. We will be back.

We have stayed here a few times now, always an overnight stay on our way north or south. Nice campground, well maintained, great foolproof system of after hour drop-ins without a reservation. We have never been there at the height of the season, but I'm sure it's beautiful when it greens up.

We stopped here for one night on our way from Maryland to Mount Rushmore. It was perfect for an overnight. Easy access for 40 ft motorhome, right off the highway. It's a small campground but clean with nice sites and adorably decorated cabin. I wish store hours and pool hours were longer. We were there in the summer and didn't expect pool to close that early.
