We have stayed at numerous campgrounds, including KOAs, during our travels. This was one of the best: incredible helpful, polite, and friendly staff; lovely campground layout; cleanest we've ever seen! Thank you so much for your attention to all that matters to people traveling.

Probably the best KOA we have stayed at and we have been at quite a few throughout North America over the past 10 years. Sault St. Marie KOA was extremely well groomed and maintained. The staff were very pleasant and appeared to really enjoy working there. We stayed in a pull through site in a TT. Needed a 5’ sewer line extension which I had. Will definitely plan on staying again. We enjoy KOA'S as you know what to expect: friendly, courteous staff. Our pooch loves your dog park. The agility course is amazing.

The only negative I can give is the fact that the camp store closed at 6 pm and didn’t open until 9 am. We usually find places are open later for wood, ice, food etc…. If you have dogs, this is the place for you.

Very clean campground and impress with the washrooms. Good for family with young children. The only thing is that there are not enough trees around the sights.

We began our 41 day odyssey with a stay over at the SSM and completed our homecoming with a return stay. Exceptionally clean, staff couldn't be more helpful. Facilities top notch. Whether you are staying for one night or a week SSM makes it worry free with everything you could need. Cheer Rob & Liz

Very nice campground. While we prefer less developed campgrounds, KOA's are really nice for long distance trips and this was a great stop.

My campsite, a pull through, was way too small, my picnic table was almost on the neighbour’s site. But otherwise, very clean and excellent services. At that price, I expect more privacy and a larger campsite

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Guests are encouraged to make reservations well in advance. Making a reservation at the very last minute on a long weekend does not allow for optimum site selection, unfortunately.

Campsite was lovely but we were very disappointed that we were asked to leave the pool when they decided to close around 7pm as well as the store being closed way too early around the same time. Kids didn’t get a chance to use the bikes. We didn’t arrive until 5 and it was super unfortunate we paid $80 and weren’t able to fully enjoy the amenities

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The office, store and pool closing hours were all posted as 7 pm. Due to safety concerns, we do not open the pool when the office is closed. All amenities were available the following morning prior to check out, as well.

Not a happy camper. My site was the smallest of the 50A pull through sites. The neighbor's fire ring was closer to my coach than my own or his. I had to unhook andback out because the front exit was too congested. I'd rather have camped in on of your minimal utilities sites across from the store. Sorry for the dismal response, but it was not a good fit for a big rig towing.

We're sorry that you didn't enjoy the assigned site; it is 90' in length and quite wide. Had you expressed your displeasure while you were here, we would have gladly moved you to a site that was more to your liking. Unfortunately, advising us after the fact, there is little that we can do.

Wow, this campground is exceptional. Staff are super polite, grounds and washrooms are ultra clean. Pool, mini putt and more! Also super close to the best mountain bike trails Sault Ste Marie has to offer. We will definitely be back!

Level, clean, friendly, and quiet at sleep time. Easy to get in and out. Highly recommend. Not that we used them, they had plenty of entertainment facilities for kids.

Nice decent sized campsites but the showers are fabulous. Lots of pressure and hot water. The washroom and shower area were spotless. This is the best we have seen at KOA campgrounds in the USA and in Canada including Provincial Campgrounds. The other nicety is this campground is far away from the highway and very quiet, not like a Provincial Campground about an hour away.

Terrific RV and tent campground. Owners and staff are very friendly and professional. The campground is well maintained and has lots to offer for adults and children. The washrooms and showers are clean and are closed for an hour daily to allow for major cleaning by the staff. They accommodated our ´big rig' (with advanced booking) and (as always) were most helpful during our latest stay. We make this an annual stop. This year we went specifically to enjoy the colours of the fall and were rewarded with spectacular displays. We stayed for 10 nights. The campground parameters and schedules are well laid out and following them makes for a most enjoyable stay. This park is dog friendly and we appreciate the folks that follow the pet guidelines. We highly recommend this campground - it's in a terrific location close to town amenities (10 minute drive). There is some faint highway noise and a few trains - far less than most of the campgrounds that we have stayed in - certainly didn't disturb our sleeping.
