Use the Saugerties KOA as you home base to explore the many area attractions of the Catskills. Tour the area then return to the campground for a quiet campfire and a restful nights sleep.
Numerous hiking trails all around Catskill Park. The trails all vary in difficulty and attractions. There are hikes to waterfalls, fire towers, hotel ruins and mountain top lakes. Most popular hikes near the campground are: Katterskill Falls, Overlook Mountain and Huckleberry Point.
The village of Saugerties now boasts some of the best (and still reasonably priced) antiquing in the Hudson Valley. Among the antique shops there are unique shops featuring food, baked goods, ice cream and homemade chocolate.
This is the Guinness World Book of Records largest kaleidoscope. Climb inside and pass through Alice's looking glass. Swirling patterns, fantastic colors, inside and over your head. At Catskill Corners, Route 28, Mt. Tremper.
