One thing I would of loved to see was the restrooms be checked daily. It didn’t seem like they were cleaned everyday. Unfortunately someone got sick and there was throw up remains in one of the stalls of Womens restroom for a couple days. Also the lock on the other stall was broken but that didn’t bother me as much. Other than that it was awesome! Staff were very friendly!

My Family and I had a great time at KOA Santa Margarita, the staff is very friendly and is there to help with any questions or concerns you have about the campground. They have many activities throughout the weekend and provide helpful tips and tricks when it comes to fishing. Can’t wait to plan another camping trip with KOA Santa Margarita:)

Roads to the sites are pretty dangerous. Could have gravel roads. Lot of mosquitoes.

Pool was small but they HAD a pool and my boys LOVED playing water volleyball...the staff were all so friendly and fun to joke around with so they made the trip extra fun for all of us! Lots of fun games to play spread throughout the grounds so there was always something entertaining to do!

My husband and I tent camped in a remote site. We enjoyed the privacy and sweeping views. The bathroom/shower was an invigorating walk down (and back up) the hill. It was good to see the roads maintained really well, and great to see that Kevin is well. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful (specifically, Tracy and Wolf). We love staying here, and will be back soon!

Great. No issues. Staff super friendly. The only thing, I’m not sure the bathrooms/showers were cleaned, same observation from the last time we stayed. Other then that, everything was perfect!

I had a tent site with my 8yo for 2 nights. The Bounce Pillow is a huge favorite for my 8yo. We really enjoy this KOA because it is less than an hour away from home, the people that run it are very accommodating and nice, and it's a very short drive to the lake.

As usual staff went above and beyond to make this an amazing stay. Amenities and activities were icing on the cake. Thank you for always being so wonderful and creating such a positive environment.

It was amazing as usual. My family and I enjoyed the pool games and the making of the tie dye shirts. The kids want the foam pit back, they said it was fun and really missed that event. Also, the Bingo was a big hit, that wasn't happening...missed very much in the evening.

Wow we had the best campsite…#22…kind of isolated and 20 steps from the bathroom/showers…pool was great - not really heated but it worked for us…staff was. Dry friendly and helpful…we were 1/2 mile away from Lake Margarita which was very peaceful. Loved our stay there

We camped to make up for Mother's Day weekend. Upon late arrival, we were greeted by Management, and Wolf was his name. Wolf was very informative and helpful upon our late check-in. Our stay was wonderful! Peaceful and relaxing within our own company, which was just what I needed with my family. Everything was clean! From our campsite to the bathhouse. We cant wait to go back!

Charming. Enjoyed it. Neighbors were unfortunately loud, even during quiet hours, bursting in loud laughs almost non-stop until 1AM. Otherwise nice campground. Thanks for the good work.

Had a fantastic stay! Such a great place. This was my first experience with KOA and I truly enjoyed it! The facilities were immaculate and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this KOA site!

The staff was very kind and helpful. They were willing to accommodate us to a different spot when my boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with the initial site. He decided to keep the spot and we had a wonderful weekend.

Second Stay. This experience was far inferior to our first; during our initial stay, staff drove by, waved, and asked about buying wood, etc. and how our stay was going. This time, staff drove by repeatedly without notice or concern. WiFi was supposedly available, but could not be accessed due to extremely weak signal, critical call was missed due to this. All said, disappointed with this stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful when asked. Spaces were advertised as gravel. Ours was dirt and extremely out of level. Even with leveling blocks I couldn’t get level enough for my refrigerator to work. I expressed my disappointment and was told all the spots are “sloped for drainage.” Restroom was never cleaned in the five days of my stay. Won’t stay there again.

this so far is my favorite koa, we have been staying at koa's with my family in the early 60's. The owner karen Jacobsma was a very nice and gracious host, here staff was very helpful and kind. then there is wolf. ha ha great hand!!!! he and his wife are keepers. in site 90 and the minute i got out of my truck, boom 10 mule deer. excellent. it was very cold,bath house VERY clean. and kevin the emu

It was great! My kids enjoyed the jumping pillow. I enjoyed the WiFi that let me stream the games. Close to the lake and golf courses. Friendly staff.

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.

We had a wonderful stay at the Santa Margarita KOA! From the moment we arrived the staff went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure our family had a memorable stay. The pool wasn't open yet ( too early in the season) but we had two very warm days so they brought hoses and sprinklers to have water on the jumping pillow and gave the kids water balloons to play with as well. The kids loved it! The grounds and facilities were neat and clean and very well Maintained! The area is just beautiful! Quiet and secluded yet not far from town Highly recommend ! We will definitely return!
