Always have a great time every time we visit.
Jul 24, 2016
The only thing this campground has going for it is that it's close to Cedar Point. Sites are extremely small. Pool looks a little pissy.
Jul 24, 2016
Staff is very nice.
Jul 23, 2016
The weekend was a little busy by Sunday night it was very nice it was open not a lot of people the staff was great
Jul 23, 2016
Campsite had no shade and the pool was green. The staff was very nice though.

Most expensive KOA we have ever stayed at so I thought it would be more of a resort atmosphere. The gal at check in did not covery the campground basics. Store had limited supplies and the jump pillow that my so was looking forward to was out of service.

Hello, I love KOA campgrounds. We have stayed at Shelby/Mansfield - Once Bulter/Mochican - Twice And they were great. Yet, Sandusky was not good at all. 1st. They gave our spot to someone else. 2.They did not show us were our camping spot was. We had to find it ourselves 3. Put us right across from the children's playground area. We are Older couple 4. Let a group of ppl play music pas

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry you had a bad experience with us.The new back in spot you were put on is a highly asked for site, sorry you did not approve. We do have an easy map to read that shows your location and where to go; with us being so busy we did not have the extra employee to give you an escort. Quiet time 11pm

Decent enough campground for families/kids, but not very well managed, lots of noise, and camp sites are very close together. Further, the weekend of our visit they had rented part of the grounds to a private party and fenced it off, which included all access to the lakeshore. They did not tell us about this when I made the reservation :-( I will not return to this campground.

You charge way to much for this koa, we have and still are staying at much better places for a lot less!!we will never stay at your koa again.
Jul 20, 2016
Need to keep the paper towels filled in the bathrooms, cleaner bathrooms than last year, the ladies this year are older and seem to care more than the young kids last year, need to open the new pool. Great place, nice people.
Jul 20, 2016
We stayed in the newer area with the patio and furniture...very nice! We have camped there for several years and everyone is so friendly and they keep everything clean and well kept! The roadside trash pick up is great! We love this campground and will definitely be back!

Very impressed with our stay. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Keep up the good work and cheers from Chicago.
Jul 20, 2016
The facility was nice, but the cost was higher than other KOA's offering the same services.
Jul 20, 2016
Sites are way too narrow and there are weeds on the site. This campground was not up to a koa standard in my book. Staff was not very friendly either. I do not appreciate paying 65 dollars a night which included my koa discount for this. I am thinking about cancelling my membership. There are not many advantages at these prices.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for your bad experience with us. We do have bigger sites available but they may have been booked. Sorry that you had a bad time. GM

Was put in too small of spot, was told it was 70 feet long, ended up being 55. Had to move and disconnect trailer

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

All of our pull thru spots can accommodate up to 70 feet if you are towing and if you are over 70ft you will have unhook like everyplace .Sorry for not having a bigger spot for you.You did register as a 45ft so I don't see how you had so much trouble? Sorry for the bad experience GM

we had a blast. your staff is great. Thank you
Jul 18, 2016
Very clean campground with helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely consider coming back, however, was very disappointed in how the noise/quiet hour policy was handled. Both nights music was played very loudly, long past 11pm and it took requests from fellow campers to have the music turned down/off. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed this campground. There were alot of activities for the kids. Clean bathrooms. I was amazed. The only thing I wish is the camping spots were a little more spaced out. I was too close to my neighbor. The area of the campground is near shopping I'd you need anything. Not far from hospital. Very convenient. I am planning on coming again. Thank you for your hospitality.....

Older campground with small camp site for the new larger RVs. Parking for tow vehicle was an issue. Many activities with mostly seasonal, tent, and park models. Hard to get into and out of the RV sites with cars parked along roads.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are addressing those spacing issues at the end of this season, I am sorry for the bad stay. Please try us again next season to see our new set up. GM

Didn't know anything about the trains. Wow were we surprised when we got there. We stayed in site #198. They come every hour & shake the ground. We lost a lot of sleep & will find another campground next time we make this trip.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunatly we are located by a train track, we have no control of the train so we do appoligize. We do however have a whole other side of the campground that may be better for you if you decide to stay again. GM
Jul 17, 2016
We enjoyed the camp very much...I thought the pull thru sites were very nice included a patio but we're on the smaller side
Jul 17, 2016
From the receptionist to the maintenance people, everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful.
Jul 17, 2016
Lots to do in the area! Kelleys island, Put n bay! Cedar point, friendly& clean camp:)
Jul 16, 2016
It was a safe place to stay. Someone sould check bath room doors. My boys were traped in the bathroom for at lease an 1/2 hour, at lease it was a good place for them during the storm.
Jul 15, 2016
Facilities are not as good in the rear area than they are at the office side.
Jul 13, 2016
Large well maintained and less than 5 minutes from CP. Short season and awesome location means higher prices. Arrived at 9:30 pm and they were still open. Security greeted us and showed us to the office. Very good experience.

Jul 11, 2016
Very nice campground with plenty of things to do.
Jul 11, 2016
We stayed at this KOA due to its close proximity to Cedar Point park. This KOA is clean and well cared for. Unfortunatly it is located a 1/4 mile (line of sight) from a major railroad line. The trains run 24/7 and pass though as often as 15 mins appart and the trains blow their horns at two road crossings. You hear the trains all day and all night long.
Jul 11, 2016
Campground is very nice and the crew is very nice and helpful. The only thing that i didnt like was the pull thru sites are very close together

The pool was extremely busy, because of the outreach program they had going on. In the morning when the pool opened, it was clean not too busy. But we went to swim in the afternoon and the pool was GREEN! And Jam-packed! The pool was still GREEN on Sunday morning, I would not allow my children to swim. We also had an issue with the jumping pillow. Our children were unable to jump because of teen

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Yes we do get very busy and with only 1 pool open we do have a lot of people using it. We stock the pool on a regular basis but with how many people the water doesn't hold the blue color. As for the Jump pillow, I hope you came in to tell the front desk so we could take care of the problem. AG
Jul 10, 2016
Well, for being a KOA you'd think you'd take more pride in the appearance of your campground. Never set foot into the bathrooms so I can't give input on that. The pool water was nasty green and cloudy. I wanted to stay another night and you made use move sites. So we did and come to find out no one moved into our old site 😡.. The last time we camped at this location was in 1998 & no chang

Pretty non descript. Spent most of time at Cedar Point. Was quiet at night.
Jul 09, 2016
That was 2nd time at the location we enjoy very peaceful really for location folks are great there😊
Jul 09, 2016
Okay the price too high even with my military discount it was too high in my opinion. Daily campers need to be separated from permanent campers, permanent camper seem to be rude and disrespectful to daily campers they think they own the park. Trains you can see passing by the campground kept me up all night long permanent campers smoking marijuana and playing beer pong till late at night.
Jul 08, 2016
Great location and clean facilities!!
Jul 08, 2016
Nicely situated CG. Very large. Nice wooded sites with some with a nice view of the bay.
Jul 08, 2016
Train too close by. Made our big rig vibrate. Park crowded with cabins that didn't look clean. Felt the whole park was too crowded and not as clean as I've seen in other places.

Say was great we always have fun there, only thing we were upset about was there was not temporary parking kids were swimming and it was time to check out and was told we had to go.
Jul 07, 2016
My family stayed at this KOA while we spent time at Cedar Point. The park was lovely. A lot of fun activities, and very friendly staff. We would stay at this KOA again for sure.
Jul 06, 2016
This campground needs some clean-up and the bathrooms need up dating. Lots of bugs on the walls and outside the walls of the bathrooms. The pool looked dirty and the children's playground was disgusting. They charged more than any of the KOAs we stayed at and it was the dirtiest. Just being honest.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry you feel this way about our campground. Our bathrooms are updated and are kept very clean. We have tons of muffle heads and Mayflies during a 3 week period that we can not avoid. Its nature but we try and deal with that as best as we could. AG
Jul 06, 2016
My wife and I stayed at this KOA for 3 nights along with our 2 teenage daughters and their 2 friends while we were going to Cedar Point. It is by far the most expensive campground that I have ever stayed at for the amenities provided. We booked a premium site only to find when we got there that it did not include a sewer hook up. For the money I'll stay at Cedar Point campground next time.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Since you made your reservation online we have 2 types of deluxe sites listed...deluxe full hookup pull thru and deluxe w/e pull through. Both come with water, 50/30 amp, cable and fit up to 70ft. sorry you had a bad stay GM
Jul 05, 2016
Friendly employees. Clean showers.
Jul 05, 2016
The staff was great throughout our stay. The campground and buildings were clean and well taken care of. The amenities are great, the location is great, but the sites are way too small.
Jul 05, 2016
Never a problem. This is my favorite campground. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
