Great location...great campground

The park was nicely shaded, the staff was very helpful. The restrooms and laundry were very clean. The park was just across from the light rail line station which made it very convenient to get into downtown. It was a very good spot to stay.

I had just purchased a new travel trailer from Bish's RV earlier that day and wanted to stay close by. I chose KOA over Sun Outdoors as I am more familiar with KOA. My wife and kids agreed this was the best KOA we have been to. Any complaints I had read online I attribute to bad camper etiquette and staff dealing with that. Customer service is hard. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

This campground is more than a ten!!! Plenty of room, all paved, all shaded, many operating amenities, plenty of friendly staff and a very clean bathrooms. You would never know you’re in the middle of the city!!

Good located KoA, just minutes by tramway from downtown. We will come again to this good maintained location

Two week stay, park was clean and safe, however, it’s still wise to keep anything important locked up.

Friendly staff, easy check in and out, clean. The pool/hot tub being closed was a bummer. Overall it was a great one night stay.

Well maintained park with friendly people, sites are level with lots of shade. It’s near light rail if you don’t want to drive. We stayed here twice this summer. We would recommend your park to anyone who plan to visit Salt Lake City

Very clean park. Entire driveway areas are paved.

Pro - site great at #25. Trans just across the street to go to Temple Square. Dog Park has dog wash. Con - Train noise all night. Pool closed to resurface when temps were 88/90F.

It was nothing like the website said. No grass, extremely tight spaces. Was there for 12 hours total and heard 3 trains blare their horns. The store was dirty and the staff was unwelcoming and carried on a conversation with each other for 5 minutes before acknowledging me. I will never stay there again.

Great location, we drove a Jeep into town but we were backpacking so having the light rail so close got us into town and to the airport.

Friendly staff and free pancake breakfast! Nice park. This is our 2nd visit and would camp there again.

Short visit but very friendly staff and very clean campground

We were sad to see no access anymore to that dog walking path. Used to be you got a code to enter. We usually only spend one night as we head back home to CA. At some point we plan to stay longer. The place you put us in was the best so far. #1114. I wish we could always reserve this row. We did notice some rigs with flags even tho your rule says no flags.

Campsites were paved but too close together. Traffic was going too fast in campground. Pool was closed before Oct. 1st as stated in welcome message. Only when I complained did I found out there was a second pool a long distance away .,

Very nice RV park, lots of things to keep you entertained. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Nice campground close to city center with tram

Ordinary stay but a very nice man from KOA staff unexpectedly helped me with my water connection. Thanks to him I realized I had a leaky hose and switching it saved a bunch of water. Nice, clean camp, lots of trees for shade and a friendly staff. I had been there 12 years ago and liked it then. I was not disappointed this time either.

We did not know how lud the highway next to our site would be. There should be some notice of this. The staff was great The transportation to the city was only two times a day and very early.

Like that the pool and hot tub were still open unlike others that close too soon around Labor Day :) Sites a little short and should be gated since in the city and they advise you to lock up bikes, etc. But overall a hood stopover:)

We got to the KOA late and had a great welcome. Easy in and easy out of our pad. Too bad we were there only one night, passing on the way to our final destination.

This campground is overcrowded and speed limit us not monitored. If you want a quiet place to sleep...this is not the place. All night you will hear trains blowing their horns, airplanes and cars racing up and down the streets. Even though the website says pool is open till 9/30 it was closed upon arrival on 9/24. If you want an awesome KOA... Go to Perry KOA.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry the pool had to be closed 6 days early. The pool deck is currently getting resurfaced and will be brand new in early October. We hope you try us again in the future.

Checked in for our overnight stay by a lovely young lady who was helpful and informative.

Thank you for a great experience and easy access. We felt secure there and was one of the nicest KOA’s we have been too!

After checkin, went to our pitch and found it was not the private back in spot with patio booked, but a tiny drive though right next to the main entrance with a dirt patch. Went back to reception and told we'd been moved but nobody mentioned this at check in. Asked for the manager who said it was an equivalent spot……Very noisy site with railroad noise till 2am.

Pool was nice, laundry room big and clean.

We paid about $70 for a nite and got a terrible site totally uneven and right on the very end of row right in front of park plus the area where the park is located had multiple low lifes

Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Con was the WiFi. It was in and out by the minute. I called the tech support and they said everything was fine on their end. Called front desk and they provided zero assistance. Not good for a KOA Holiday.

Our stay was short, just needed safe stopping point on our travels; staff were friendly & helpful. Thanks! Unfortunate construction going on next door: noisy, but understand it has to get done. Still enjoyed being there.

You certainly don’t feel like you’re in the city and felt safe during our stay. The shade trees provided relief from the sun as well as the rain. Staff were awesome and the convenient store proved very useful. The KOA is a great central point for the outdoorsman’s as well as the city site seer. Would definitely stay again.

• Staff are excellent. • Site was level. • Good cable TV. • Showers are clean and decent water pressure, no shortage of hot water. • WIFI is great, but I prefer to use my Rogers Hot Spot then I can watch my home cable TV. • They have propane on site. • 2 carwashes on the property, 1 is 11' clearance, the other 13' clearance and long enough for most RV's. • BBQ and Pizza restaurants on the property. • Great laundry room, plus another laundromat on the property. • Only 1 negative and that is the outlying neighborhood, but the KOA and VIP parks have 24 hour security. • I would stay here again.

Best campground ever. We have stayed here 3 times. What I love most is that you can fly in to SLC and take the light rail 2 stops from the airport. The KOA is literally across the street. We meet my mother here who has an RV. We go skiing at Alta without having to rent a car or drive a RV on a mountain road. You can take the light rail to a park and ride and then take a bus up to the resort. Incredibly convenient and safe. The campground staff obviously takes great pride in their place. Bathrooms are clean and modern, there are many activities for kids (basketball, and other outdoor games, game room, swimming pool, calm roads for riding bikes). Gas fire pits for gathering around in the evening. Free coffee and pancakes. Quiet campsites. I hope the family never gives up its property here in the city. Wish more cities had something like this for travelers.
