Kampground Activities
Each year, we add more to our on-site activity schedule. This year, you and your family can enjoy:
- Delicious breakfasts at the Merry Moose Pancake House (served everyday the campground is open)
- All kinds of Scavenger Hunts (including some we give you a day or more to do!)
- Outdoor Movies on our Big Screen (fire and comfy chairs supplied)
- Tie-dye T Shirts (always a camper favorite!)
- Crafts (including coloring and decorating t-shirts and tote bags, making jewelry and more!)
- Bingo (Candy Bar Bingo and Family Bingo)

Other Things to Do at the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA:
Enjoy our heated pool, playground, game room, basketball and volleyball courts as well as our planned activities (special weekends and every day from the end of June through Labor Day)! Fire pits are located at every site, with wood sold at the store and delivered to your site. Don't forget to try our world-famous blueberry pancakes and Belgian waffles for breakfast! Great pizza or hamburgers/hot dogs on the grill plus desserts served in the summer.

Although there's so much to do in our area, we still offer you lots of activities around the park, especially during the summer season. Kids and adults love to making tie die t shirts and we hold this activity once or twice a week in season. You and your kids will also enjoy face painting, crafts, treasure and scavenger hunts, games, outdoor big screen movies, bingo, ice cream socials and more! Activities are held on special weekends in May, all weekends in June and everyday from June 21 through Labor Day.
We also start our famous pancake and Belgian waffle breakfasts from the day we open until the day we close! Start each day with our famous blueberry pancakes, or choose pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, s'more pancakes or our Belgian waffles.
Don't feel like cooking dinner after a long day at the beach or amusement park? We serve our hand tossed pizza and/or hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches from June 21 through Labor Day. Yummy and convenient!
Tie Die T Shirts
Our campers' favorite activity, which we hold every Saturday in season and on special weekends. Meet us at the Merry Moose, where we supply everything. Cost is $6 a shirt, all ages and sizes welcome!

Larry and Nancy Babyak purchased the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA Kampground in 2002, where they are proud to provide top-rated service with a friendly, well-trained staff and welcoming spirit.Larry has been working in the camping business since his college days. He talked Nancy into joining the camping world in 1993, from a career as a buyer for a large home décor retailer. Together, they managed campgrounds within the KOA company-operated properties division for nine years.
Now, as campground owners, Nancy says, "Our goal is to make sure that our guests feel very welcomed and pampered. We employ a very large staff in season, with over 25 people for our medium-sized park of 120 sites. We do this so we can keep the park immaculately clean, and even more importantly, so we can provide outstanding service to our guests. We escort guests, deliver messages, pizzas, firewood and ice, provide lots of area information and help guests set up if needed."
Nancy, Larry and their son Mike love to travel and have plans to explore the U.S. in their new motor home in the upcoming winters. They've been overseas as well as many beautiful places all over the country.
