It was a great stay with a lot of good amenities. Our toddler enjoyed the sand box, playgrounds, nature trail, and the hay ride. The added activities for the themed weekend were an added bonus. There was some road noise from the interstate, but we couldn't hear it in the camper and it didn't bother us. Wish the sites were a little bigger, but tiny sites seem to be the norm now.

This KOA is a layover traveling to and from my parent’s home. Been laying over there for 5 years and it works great each time.

One night stay was not long enough to form an honest review. The RV Park was very clean and had a lot of things to do at your fingertips. The surrounding community is unknown.

Spent a single night at this beautiful, well maintained campground. Easy in and out. Hosts were very friendly and provided treats for the puppies after a long day traveling.

Our stay was fantastic. The campground is well maintained and the perfect size for us. The owners are very nice and are willing to help in any way. Thank you Richmond KOA for a relaxing quick getaway.

Beautiful campground, with lots to do. The owners and staff do an amazing job. We enjoyed the food truck and the tribute to Johnny Cash was amazing�ϋ�

Very friendly, helpful when truck wouldn’t start, very clean. So many activities for all ages. We really enjoyed the Johnny Cash Tribute on Sat. Evening. Definitely on our return to list!

We had a great weekend. This is an excellent campground and a place to relax. Everything is well organized. There are always activities and fun things to do. This is the only campground we are staying at this year. We will be back next month and every month until they close in November. And yes, the campground is clean and friendly.

The owners and employees are very gracious, friendly and knowledgeable. The campground itself is kept immaculate with attention to the small details. If not only camping but antiquing , restaurants etc. it is located near a variety of options to fill your stay. Kep up the good work.

Very nice grounds. Extremely nice people. Although we only stayed for a night, there are a lot of amenities to take advanrage of.

We had a great weekend, The johnny cash tribute was so good � The campground is so beautiful and well taken care of. Bathrooms and campstore are very nice , very clean. We Love it here♥�� Everyone is very friendly and Helpful

This place is awesome! Small but has a lot of activities for the kids. People were great too (both workers and other campers). I felt comfortable letting the kids go by themselves for a little bit before I joined them. Clean, friendly & inviting. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for 9 nights. The owners and staff are awesome. Lots to do in the park and around the area. Weekends they have lots for families to do. Would diffently go back.

We have been frequenting this KOA for over 30 years. There is a great family atmosphere everywhere you look. The new owners have made great improvements and are always available should the need arise. Evenings are quiet, even when there is a crowd. Well worth the money if you are used to state parks and want something a little more.

Fantastic staff! We arrived an hour late after closing but they helped us newbies back into our site! Grounds were immaculately kept! Our site was beautiful with flowers planted among the edge of the patio. Beautiful furniture and giant umbrella to stay cool on a sunny hot day! Wonder nature trail and not one mosquito! We will be back to visit again!!

Employees were watching us like we were criminals or something. I have never experienced anything like this before. They watched to make sure we picked up after our dogs, which we always do. They creeped my daughter out when she was swimming. My husband was driving through the campground at about 15 miles an hour, so they kicked us out.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It's very interesting that you were enjoying your stay BEFORE we asked you more than once to slow down. We have a strict 5 MPH speed limit in the park. As for the daughter allegation, you only had 2 people registered and we have no idea what you are referring to.Thanks for picking up after your dog!

I have never stayed at ANY campground where the staff was always around to make sure everything is ok and would do whatever they could to make your stay better. Awesome place. Already made a group reservation and several personal reservations for next year. Love the patio sites!

Great little campground, the water pressure was nice , the staff was some of the nicest people I’ve met at a campground, I’m pretty sure it was actually the owners too. The fishing pond is one of the best maintained ones I’ve been to - if not the best, low algae and a great led fountain to make it nicer, only drawback, and I mean only, was lots were a little small, parking was horribly diffi

We always enjoy staying at the Richmond KOA. Dirk, Danielle and staff (hello Kevin and Teresa!) are so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. This was our second visit this year and we have three more visits reserved and ready to go. Campground is clean and well-maintained. And the pizza is great!

This was our first experience camping period, and frankly, we couldn't have asked for a better one! Every single staff member was polite & friendly, and no one was treated as a stranger. The grounds were very well kept, all amenities were exactly what you'd expect of them, overall just a wonderful experience. The "water wars" activities for the kids were a blast. We will be back for sure!

My biggest regret is that I must make my reservation with my camping group by Nov 1st for the following July. It is difficupt to plan 8 months ahead.....If I do make a reservation by Nov 1st and have to cancell in April for example I might keep a club member from camping with the group because all the reserved spot were taken by Nov 1st. Love the park and the owner and staff were very friendly.

Campground is wonderful. Owners are always out checking on the campers. Plenty of activities going on for kids and adults.

The only thing I had a problem with was the policy about registering before November 2021 and not putting all us together. That's what our campout is about being together. I look around last weekend and there was a lot of empty spaces actually both sides of us. So why did you have to take away the 10 spaces for the our group after that date? The campground is nice.

This KOA is incredible. The owners are so kind and go out of their way to make this a wonderful campground. It is kept up wonderfully and so nice. There are lots of things for kids to do even in the off season. We are already figuring out when to come back. The tent sites are nice, the bathrooms are clean and the RV sites are great and level. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great location right off 70. Very well kept campground. Great staff and activities. A word of warning though, for weekday visitors, you will hear trucks on 70 all night. Much least traffic on the weekend nights…
