A very convenient location close to the highway, great for a one night stay. The sites were fairly level, not too much landscaping but that did not bother us. I would stay here again if we were in the area.

We loved the campground and the surrounding area. We only spent one night, but we got in early and drove about 30 minutes east to Capulin Volcano National Monument. Great side trip. The campground was clean and well maintained and the sites were nice sized. The staff was helpful and courteous. We will stay here again.

The Raton KOA is a great place to stop and rest before travelling onward. It is quiet. They even have deer that visit.

Raton is our favorite KOA! The rooms have extra touches that the other KOA’s don’t have such as a mini fridge. Also they added some nice reading lights over bed that is very nice and appreciated. The camp is very well maintained and staff helpful/friendly.

Internet easily accessible, campground clean, great dog park.

It was fine for one night. Not the nicest KOA we’ve stayed at… not the worst rv park. Pull through site was not quite long enough for our coach and tow vehicle. Spots were a little too close together.

Great stopping point. Level gravel sites. Close to several sitdown restaurants. Fuel available between I-25 and the KOA Journy!

RV park is spacious with level sites with all basic amenities needed for a great stay.

Access to KOA is easy from I-25. The distance between the rows of RV's are wide for easy back in or pull through. Sites are level.

Great customer service Quiet clean well maintained place Got greated by Bambi and mom early one morning they were just eating some fresh dewy breakfast shrubs Right next to our picnic table. They were like we won't bother you if you won't bother us. My husband sat on picnic table and drank his coffee enjoying the so tame mule deer So peaceful Thank you

Our stay was short. Just overnight. The campground was very clean and well maintained.

Enjoyed sitting on the porch swing. This was our first time at this KOA. Also enjoyed the screen door and how the windows opened to get fresh air. Liked the fact we had a small fridge and tv. Not all the KOA kabins without a bathroom have a small fridge and tv. Makes it nice when you are traveling on the road to keep your drinks cold.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
