This was a strictly overnight stop. We had been there before and knew the area pretty well. The trees are bigger now and had a little difficulty getting in our spot with the car in tow behind our motorhome. Restrooms were very clean. Only issue, there was no codes for the bathrooms after hours check in. Guess I looked honest enough to get the code from a fellow camper.

Foam mattress was not comfortable, quality of shower could be improved. Other than that, stay was amazing. Friendly staff and nice grounds. Would stay at this location again. Loved the how everything had a code to get into. Felt safe.

We stopped overnight during a longer trip to Colorado. Our site was a perfectly level pull through so we had quick set up and fast takedown the next morning. This was our second stay at this KOA and we will use it again when appropriate.

Raton KOA is always a great stopover from Texas to New/Mexico (or Colorado) The campground and restrooms are well kept.

Need someone to take you to the site to explain where you need to pull. Sites are big enough did not need to unhook for a one night stay.

It would so helpful to get map location correct. We went in on side street and used a rough alley street to get parked at campground. Another rv’er said he experienced same thing. We walked up front and noticed easy access on paved street in front of office. Staff was great and they said this had been reported to Corp.

The staff was very nice. It was close to the convience store. The office was undergoing renovation. So we had to walk there to get ice. Our site was right next to the bathroom...too close. Sites were spacious

We rented a cabin for our visit. It was clean, roomy and close to the showers/restrooms. Restrooms were amazingly well kept and clean! All the showers worked, had adequate space for bathing and a private bench outside of the shower. Each set-up is in a long stall w/a latched door. Check in was super easy. We arrived after office hours, but were able to easily get our key. Grounds are clean, too.

It was a wonderful stay! I loved the laundry room and the restrooms were so clean and nice. It’s a great place to stop for the night. What was really cool is that we got to watch our Astros play on cable, that night. Really a treat for us. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the great comfy bed. We were happily surprised to have AC, a heater, mini fridge and a tv! The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at the Oasis down the road.

The associate at the desk in the office was very pleasant and demonstrated professional qualities to me. The restroom was clean & easily accessible for me. I appreciated the plastic barrel provided to receive used aluminum cans. I enjoyed my overnight stay at Raton, NM KOA.

I judge a campground by the condition of their Kamp K-9. This one is relatively clean. I did have to pick up a few poops left by other campers, but it was mostly kept fairly clean. Sites are spacious, they have cable TV and there is a K-Bob’s steak place within walking distance. A nice place for an overnight stop.

Wonderful friendly hosts. The staff was nice as well. Beautiful area. On our list of places to come back to again. LOVED it. Our stay was not long enough (7 days). Wonderful customer service.

First of all, the park owners were very nice and accommodating....also, the place was clean. However, it is all dirt and gravel. We have a 45' big rig and our spot was easy to get in and out of, but some sports are tight. There is nothing to do in Raton....but that's not the parks fault. If you need a spot for the night this would be fine....but it's not a destination park.

One nite stay. Always stay here when traveling that direction. E don’t need to use any facilities as our 5th wheel is well equipped for our needs. Always a pleasure to stay there.

Traveling back home from Idaho into Texas has been an eye opener amazing experience staying at KOA Camping grounds. Felt relaxed, comfortable and safe. All the amenities for the price for my budget. Thanks for providing travlers a clean safe place to stay.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
