The staff are very nice and friendly. I did appreciate the evening extras and the morning breakfast was good. My dissatisfaction is the lack of toilets to accommodate the population of the facility and how filthy the bathrooms and showers were. Also, the whole property is laid out pitifully backwards from effective mobility of vehicular and foot traffic.

We've been several times now and the people are always friendly. This year was no different! The reason for the 4 stars was because the pool was pretty cloudy and salty. Not clean like it has been years previously.

The campsites were really close together. Bathroom men’s, was not well-maintained. I advised staff of this and issues we’re not taking care of. Staff was very pleasant and pool area was very nice.

I will not be back. Making me park in an overflow from 11am to 1pm to move to a full hookup was ridiculous. I was already on-site one night. Your inability to break a 1pm checkin rule was bad customer service. On a bright side, the maintenance crew is wonderful. The front office can learn how to smile and be nice to customers. I never leave bad reviews but you need to rethink things.

The bathhouse design is not functional nor appealing. Inadequate ventilation in the shower closets.

Good sized pull through sites that level and clean. Power and water/sewer hook ups were good. Placement of fire pits in some sites was not the greatest - in our site the fire pit was only 3 feet away from the neighbors dump cleanout pipe, awkward. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location for Sturgis and The Badlands. Beautiful downtown just down the road. Nice campground and friendly staff

Staff was patient and very helpful. Laundry facilities were clean and loved the commercial size dryers. The private shower was helpful for my shy teen age grandson. Site was level and easy to access. Pancake breakfast for $2.99 was loved by all! I would come again.

It was quiet and clean but the sites are too close together. The neighbors sewer was under our picnic table. We won’t stay here again.

Great location for exploring the Black Hill area of SD. The sites were clean & level. Some had great views. The restrooms were well taken care of. There were activities for all most nights of the week so you could meet other campers. This made the stay seem more like a community.

Great location, close to many local attractions. Pool was updated and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower facility could be cleaner, we used this daily and shower stalls were often dirty.

The most disheartening thing is that I arrived 8 minutes early and was told I could check in early but it would cost me $15. I was 8 minutes early. I can see if I was 2 hours early. Pool and even the hot tub was cold. Large rocks at the ends of the roads had to be carefully not to clip them. Trees were too close to our spot ,had to back out of the pull through spot when we left. Unfortunately this is my first review like this one. We arrived early and were told our site was not ready yet. They did allow us to park in the overflow lot which was nice. As it turns out when they checked us in later we were put in the spot next to the overflow that had been empty and ready since we had arrived. I understand policies, but don't say it is because the site isn't ready.

Easy check in very nice store great pancake breakfast that was very cheap. A wonderful pool and shower house and bathrooms. We also love the beautiful thick green grass everywhere that made it film more cool and inviting. The staff couldn't have been nicer friendlier or more helpful!

We had a very nice stay. From the greeters to the maintenance folks, everyone was courteous and helpful. The grounds are very nice and there are lots of things to do. Loved the breakfast service (choices of various things, including all you can eat pancakes). We didn’t take advantage of some of the evening events, but appreciate they are there if we wanted to.

Wasn't bad, but for the size of the place there should be larger bathrooms. Shower accomodations were nice. They NEED to control occupant's dog's better. Two separate occasions we had to clean up after someone else's dog's in our site. NOT HAPPY.

Sight not bad however mosquitoes in the evening were brutal. I only had one night bonfire. Wish we could’ve set out more often.

Campground was very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our campsite was water and electric only which is all we needed. The electric had stable voltage. The location is very central to all attractions. They also have rental cars on site.

When we arrived it had been raining, understandably you can’t control weather, but our site had a low spot right where steps on camper came out. No grass just dirt , ya , mud , if you’re not going to keep the grass up put rock down to avoid this. Not a happy camper.

Stayed one night bathrooms were very dirty especially shower area. No hot water Luke warm at best. Also joint showers men and women using it was very uncomfortable.

Very nice campground. Staff was very cordial. Very quiet at night. We had a problem after hours with the next camper running a generator. We called the after hours #. Staff responded in 5 minutes and resolved the problem. Convenient to Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave and downtown Rapid City.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place, friendly staff, clean bath and laundry. Great sites for all. Good level spots. Close to all the Black Hills National Forest has to offer. Central to Badlands, Spearfish Canyon and Devils Tower. Cabins, cottages, tent sites, and a nice new pool area. 2 laundry facilities and 3 shower houses. Always clean.
