Wonderfully maintained park!!! The owners are so friendly and helpful that I stayed two extra nights. I was very impressed with the host staff!!! I give this KOA above the top marks!!!

Nice camp ground. Only problems is the noise from highway and the papermill smell in the air.Other than that, nice place.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As we have no paper mills in our area, maybe the clean country air in our pine forest is an issue? WCO

Everyone was very helpful .

Welcoming, hospitable, pizza available after a long day of travel. Campsites well spaced.

Very clean, pool was nice and extremely quiet, which we loved.Smaller campground than expected but sites were nice. Did not realize there was a cost for the wine tasting.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are glad you enjoyed our amenities. Being that we are not a vineyard we purchase all of the bottles of wine from boutique wineries. The hours and price of tasting is gone over at check in, posted at bar and also marked on the map. Thank you for choosing Point South KOA. Happy travels. Jennifer~

Incredibly friendly staff. The only issue was the newly remodeled restrooms. One toilet is not enough, especially when there was a Boy Scout group there.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have 2 toilets and 2 Urinals. One of the toilets is in the ADA shower enclosure. This was done to comply with Federal regulations. WCO

Stayed several nights, and was very happy with the campground and customer service. Was a little disappointed that the hot tub was not functional, and that it was over an hours drive to Charleston. It was nice to be able to order a pizza right there at the campground when we didn't feel like cooking.
Jun 18, 2016
Easy on/off I95, and super WIFI service.
Jun 18, 2016
On the road trading between states. Stopped in for the night. The staff was very friendly and the pizza was great. Park kept up, will make this a regular stop during my travels. Thanks...
Jun 17, 2016
Very nice and friendly staff. Only stayed for a night. Did not use any facilities during our stay.
Jun 17, 2016
Only stayed 1 night but excellent staff helped us with a RV problem. Above & beyond! Friendly staff and clean facilities. Cute little playground for kids, tether ball, cornhole, mining, and a pool. We will stay again.
Jun 17, 2016
Great place to stay. Friendly people and nice layout
Jun 17, 2016
staff was nice, very clean restrooms and showers. Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the traffic noise from I40. Very pretty setting though.
Jun 16, 2016
This is a frequent stop for us on summer road trips. The staff is always friendly.
Jun 16, 2016
Best KOA ever. Two words: wine tasting. One more word: lattes. Go there!
Jun 15, 2016
As always a great place to stay. Wine bar is great and always meet the nicest people.
Jun 15, 2016
Fantastic gem stone mining activity for the kids!
Jun 15, 2016
Sites need concrete or at least trap rock to keep down dirt. More 50 Amp sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We appreciate your comments about the 50 amp. sites. The demand for more 50 amp sites is an issue that we are looking into and are planning for future upgrades. Thank you and happy travels. WCO

Love the place, have been stopping here for years and will continue to do so. The only drawback is something needs to be done about the ground surface, the roads and sites are nothing but dirt, they had just been dragged to level and with wet feet from the dew or rain is nothing but a mud bath.
Jun 13, 2016
Very clean with flowers and statues.Management took care of a defective propane cylinder.Park attendnet Lonnie was very helpful.
Jun 13, 2016
We were given a muddy sight right at the entrance of the campground. Vehicles going in and out at all hours. Not our best stay at a KOA.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize for not meeting your expectations. Please let us know while you are here as we are Very Happy to move you if the site is unsuitable or not matched you to your liking. Thank you for choosing Point South KOA. We hope your journey is pleasant. Jennifer~

Always enjoy the stay at this location. Great staff, great RV sites. Good location for I95 stopover and visits to Charleston. Always a pleasure to have this KOA along our route.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

If your touring Charleston, Beaufort or Savannah, stop in and we will be more than happy to give you tour info. And remember we have discounted tickets to selected venues and tours.

This campground has alot of trees and low branches. It is not very friendly to big rvs.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We do offer a one hour full refund. We host many large rigs and are in a pine forest. If you wish to stay in a field we do not meet your needs. Happy Travels . WCO

Came in during rainstorm.. We were escorted to the the driest site available. Got up to a sunny day and a great campground. Met and talked with the owner, a very nice gentelman. Wish our stay could have been more than just one night. Great campground, raine or shine !!!
Jun 08, 2016
This was my second time at this campground. The campground is beautiful. Bathrooms very clean. Campsites big and level. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I stay here because my daughter lives in Beaufort and although it is about 30 miles, the quality of the campground make up for the distance. I'll be back.

Great place to stay. The location is close to many SC sites to visit and the people are great. This is not our first stay here and we plan on staying at the Point South KOA again.
Jun 06, 2016
Campground was well kept but campers let their dogs relieve themselves without cleaning up after them. Only 2 showers available in mens room, had to wait in line. Last day we stayed people at next site had 2 clothes lines hanging from their trailer to dry clothes. Yee Haw!! Staff was very friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

WE have a KampK9 and a large field for our furry friends. It would be nice for owners to respect others, but alas it only takes a few to spoil it. We are sorry about the shower wait. Federal laws required us to put in an ADA shower, meaning we lost a 3rd shower in the mens and woman facility WCO

Beautiful setting with lots of trees. Staff is very nice. The sites are very close together. I prefer a liitle space for privacy.
Jun 02, 2016
Only our 2nd night in our RV! Great cable, nice sight and wonderful pizza. Also, the shower facilities were really nice, new modern fixtures, decor!
Jun 02, 2016
Stayed here while waiting out Tropical Storm Bonnie. It is such a nice place, with so many nice and helpful people, that the trip delay was not a hardship at all. The campground is spotlessly clean, quiet and on high enough ground that the flooding all around just caused puddles at KOA. This would be a nice weekend getaway with children. They have a big pool, playground and other fun things.
Jun 02, 2016
Very nice campground. But sites are very small. Nice for an overnight stop off.
Jun 01, 2016
E z to get to. Clean park

Jun 01, 2016
Everyone was so friendly. We stayed through a tropical storm, campground got extremely muddy. This KOA was great, weather was crap.
Jun 01, 2016
The Tropical Storm dropped a lot of water on the campground. If the sites were raised about 6 inches more using rock, I would rate the park a 5 because everything else was perfect. Great staff, coffee shop was super, being able to buy pizza and wings was fantastic. A beautiful setting. We will be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We add granite/gravel coverage throughout the year and then churn it back up by grading the park with a special attachment on our tractor. Living on a sand dune with an 8'tide creates issues beyond our control. We understand your perspective & address this issue as best as possible. JDM
May 31, 2016
It is not your fault that Tropical Depression Bonnie washed out the weekend. Still had a nice time. Love this KOA.
May 31, 2016
ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT TIME AT THIS CAMPGROUND

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We love hosting your family during the years and watching the generations of your family grow over time. What a treat to have you stay with us year after year. Happy Camping until your next journey. Jennifer ~
May 31, 2016
Site 23 in low area-very muddy with rain & no cement pad. Also disappointed to find out this KOA supports transgender bathrooms.May reconsider staying here.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have a mens shower & a women's shower. We have rendered no opinion on this political issue. Whereever you got infomation is false. We hope you realize that 8 inches of rain fell this weekend from Sat. afternoon to Sunday morning from Tropical storm Bonnie. Wish you well on your travels. WCO
May 31, 2016
We had a great memorial day weekend. It rained most of the time but the kids were able to play games in the coffee shop. Thanks

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Making lemonade out of lemons. We enjoyed all of the laughter and fun that was had during the tropical storm Bonnie. Thanks for making it Great for us too. Jennifer~
