The staff were very friendly & helpful. One of the nicer KOA's we have ever stayed at. A bit noisy due to the highway noise but this is expected when it is convienently right off the highway.

Easy off/on of I 95. Nice staff. Very clean bathrooms. Level campsites. Would stay here again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Happy Camping until we meet again. JDM

Everything and everyone was great! My only(tiny) complaint is with the radio station playing in the bathroom. Silence would have been preferable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We will pass along your thoughts to the folks at NPR. Thank you for choosing Point South KOA. Happy Travels to you and yours.

A model of how to run a park. Facility has been around and shows some wear, however, it is well maintained. The office is set up with a small pizza kitchen, small store, and a comfortable bar area where wine tasting is held. In the morning, you must stop at the office to get one of Bill's fresh cups of coffee, latte, or capaccino. The working staff motto is "make the campers happy". They did

My husband and I have stayed there at least 10 times. Everyone has always been so nice and courteous. Anytime we are in their area, we stay there. We love the fact that they have the wine tasting each night. Every time we stay there have been improvements made.

People very nice. Muddy tight sites 50.00 rate including 10% discount Is way out of line for an overnight stay . My class A was splatter with dirt from rain tracking this inside ? Good people, run down park!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are glad you enjoyed our 62 channels of hi def cable and wifi. We have had the rain of the century in SC although drying out quickly. Happy travels as you find your fit. JDM

Sewer hookup not good. The connection pipe was not threaded and was a problem.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We will make sure that sewer the connection is seen to. We hope that everything else met your expectations. You can certainly let us know while you are here so we can try and rectify it at the time. WCO

They were wonderful. The camp is very nice and well-kept. We had RV trouble and were getti g their quite late. After calling to tell them of our delay, they were so thoughtful and checked with us later to see how we were doing. Extremely pleased with them and the camp!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are so glad you made it safely to your night's respite, Kathy. We hope your journey was smooth from here and we look forward to seeing you again if you are ever our way. JDM

Great KOA. Friendly peeps
Oct 06, 2015
Our stay at this KOA was good. We didn't get to experience all that the campground has to offer. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our daughter is stationed in Beaufort and this is close enough for us to see her.

No cement pads, ground had standing water, small not many sites

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As the state of South Carolina experienced a unusually high amount of rain this weekend there is going to be some water standing. As of 10 am 10/5 we are 98% dry and clear skies are forecast for the rest of the week. Happy camping on your future travels. WCO

I called for reservations and no one answered the telephone. I left a message requesting pull through for a 38ft class A. I told them we needed 50 amps and full hook ups. No one got back to me so I called again. The girl finally picked up the phone an hour later said there was one space left for a 50 amp. When we arrived we found out there was no sewage. TERRIBLE KOA!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

OK. We are a terrible KOA because we could not get back to you imnediately on the phone & We could not accommodate you with a 50 amp full-hookup site. We do apologize. We did put you in a 50 amp W & E site that was near our showers that have been noted as "elegant glamping". WCO

People were very helpful and accommodating. The pizza take out and wine tasting were a good different but nice touch. Our site was long and wide, had no problems with setup. We were next to the woods, felt like we were in a rain forest. Only problem was the nats and mosquitoes,no fault of the KOA.

I was put in a site that my car was half way in the road when I called the office I was told there was no traffic cones to put behind my car to protect it and hung up on me. called back a they checked and did fine a cone. campground was not that full and while walking around found many site much longer than the I was in. also wanted full hook-ups and got just water elect.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize for not putting you in that site correctly as your rig should fit with room to spare. We will see to it that everyone understands the correct placement of rigs on that site. Please make a reservation in advance for a full hook-up as they get filled quickly. WCO

of the four KOAs we have camped at in the past 6 months, this was by far the most pleasant visit. Neat, clean, pleasant and helpful KOA staff, and spacious sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Point South KOA. Best wishes on your travels and we look forward to hosting your next stay if your journey brings you across our path. JDM

We loved the proximity to 95 without the noise! The staff was really welcoming, we had a great time wine tasting and our daughter loved the slucing.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Poor signage once you turn off the interstate. GPS leads you into a different RV Park. Very friendly staff and lots of extras (wine tasting for one). Only stayed overnight but was nice. Tree covered, so TV/Internet could be a problem.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do love our forest as most campgrounds are in a field with no shade, We have over 60 channels fed by fiber-optic cable and free WI-FI. All our directions & maps say turn at Waffle House and follow signs. We are sorry for your mapping issues. Call us at 800-726-5733 for assistance. WCO

Very enjoyable stay, the staff was great and very helpful when we needed them. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again when in the area.
Sep 25, 2015
Very friendly staff, Wifi needs work. Great location between Charleston and Savannah

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for letting us know about the wifi. We have contacted our local provider to check out the signal output. We will be doing upgrades and/or replacements as needed.

Lots of trees but the best part is the management. I had problems with my baring cap under my hub cap having come off and the man working stayed with the problem until he could get it to stay on. I also had difficulty with my tv and he kept swinging by to check on my progress until we figured out I had not attached the cable to the tv! Such nice people in the midst of a lot going on.
Sep 25, 2015
Friendly helpful staff, easy check in , right off I-95, all that we needed for a over night stay from Florida to NYC. I liked the pull through so I didn't have to unhook my tow vehicle from behind the motor home, we just fit into our sight with a 40' motor home and Hummer in tow.
Sep 24, 2015
Warm welcome, great grounds. Stayed one night easy in and out.
Sep 23, 2015
A shady smaller campground with all kinds of quirky art pieces scattered around. Beautiful pool and friendly staff.
Sep 23, 2015
Only an overnight but we enjoyed it.
Sep 22, 2015
Pleasantly surprised, Staff really went out of their way to be helpful. Pizza was fantastic. We do not eat it very often. After a 9 hour driver it was enjoyable to have it. Will make this stop again

Dog park is too far from campers. Plan to drive 1 hour to anything but that also means relaxing bank peace and quiet!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Beaufort, SC is an easy 30 minute drive with 4 lanes the entire distance. Founded in 1712, it has over 90 homes that pre-date the Civil War & is consistently in the top 10 recommended tourist towns in U.S. We are 1/2 way between Charleston SC & Savannah, Ga. WCO

Great staff and cozy campsite for 40' Motorhome with 4 slides.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Point South KOA. Have a great Journey until your travels you back this way. JDM

We have stayed here twice. It is a great place to stop over for the night. I'm sure if you stayed longer there are things in the area to do. Nice clean place and a great staff. Try it if you are ever going on 95 and around the GA area.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank You for the stays. Next time plan to tour our area. Beaufort is an easy drive, founded in 1712 this is the second oldest town in South Carolina and has over 90 homes that predate the Civil War.

Had a great time at the wine tasting, everyone was so helpful, would have loved to have had a hot tub.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

RATS, we too wish we could bring the Hot Tub back. But the new ADA rules have forced us to close it indefinitely.
Sep 09, 2015
nice koa staff super. not worth the money for a small camping place? Small pool small camp. for a overnight stay its ok. not worth staying any longer.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We sorry our pool does not meet your expectations. it is 25 ft by 50 ft and holds 54,000 Gallons of water and is the largest pool at Point South. We are located between Savannah, Charleston & Beaufort SC. All 3 towns are rated in the top 10 historic tourist attractions in the US.
Sep 08, 2015
It was a very sudcluded campground and very quite not much to do, needs a little road work to and from campground area.Nice wine tasting area very clean restroom and shower area. Over all nice and quite.😜🎉

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The access roads at the front of Point South are scheduled to be repaved this month.
Sep 07, 2015
I can't give a grounded assessment as we arrived at 10p and left at 8a. We stopped to sleep. I can say, they had a site, put a map out for us, and it was quiet and we had a good rest, and it was easy access to I95.
Sep 07, 2015
Was told they had no sewer hookups available. After arrival noticed sewer sites available.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We noticed that you had a 38 ft motorhome. We see you that you were in a 50 water& electric site. If you requested a 50 amp site full hookup we checked and they were filled this weekend. We try to fill requested sites but all left were 30 amps.
Sep 07, 2015
In our opinion, gravel or paving is very important at a campground charging a price of $49.33 (member rate) for a 30 ft. trailer. It was a sandpit. Gravel as you entered but not at the sites. Sand tracks into the restrooms & your RV. Can't recommend.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The sands of the lowcountry are a blessing and a con in washing our cover. We are bringing in more 10 ton truckloads of stone this month. There are many sites that have the gravel. We are swiftly repairing the ones that do not. Glad you enjoyed 62 channels of cable and wifi. Happy Travels. JDM
