Place was virtually empty. Chose this property to do laundry. Arrived after 4, office and laundry was closed, not to re-open until 9AM.Office called at 11:05 to let us know we were late checking out . Told them we were almost done and would be gone shortly. As we were pulling out they called back to let us know they would be assessing a late check out fee. Understand rules when a property is busy.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

First i would like to say thank you for staying with us.Secondly you DID NOT receive a phone call from me at 11:05. At that time i was out making my rounds.That is when i noticed you and your wife still sitting and eating after 11:25. It's all on camera.Bottom line Check out time is check out time.

One of the nicest, best kept KOA’s we’ve been to. Beautiful Sonoran desert plantings. With each stay here we see many more improvements. Everything is kept in great, meticulous condition.

Nice reception, punctually at 1:00 p.m., lots of nature, peace and relaxation. Everything is clean and the living room is very comfortable. Even with our problem that we had no cash, we were helped without any problems. Thanks! It was very nice!

We stayed a week going from host job at state park to gift stay at Picacho Peak State Park. We enjoyed our stay other than the highway and train noise but was expected being it's a journey. Everything was clean and well maintained. Husband said showers were very low pressure, pressure at our site was great. We enjoyed watching the horses next to the campground, well cared for place no smell noted.

The cabin is cute! I used these amenities: A/C, microwave, mini-fridge and freezer, Pellet stove/heater, porch swing, picnic table, chairs, dipped my feet and legs in the pool. Everything was clean. Very nice bathrooms with hot water. Walked 3.91 miles. Walked to see the cows. Walked to the Pecan Orchard. Drive was less than 45 minutes from home. Camp hostess is friendly and sweet. Thanks!

People were very nice. But the facility was old and run down. The highway and train noise was annoying

All the activities they have for the kids are awesome. The staff are all amazing. The only issue was with the showers. One was out of order. One had not shower controls. The one I used felt like it was tearing my skin off and I could not control it. One of the reasons we use KOA is for the shower facility and this was a little lacking. With that, I will stay there again.

Went to the office to make sure that the same credit card was used for our whole stay, I was greeted rather rudely by the young lady there with "Do you have a question?". Not Good Morning, How Are You, or welcome to KOA. She needs to learn that you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. Other negatives: No cable TV and the WiFi was slow and went out.

The campground is clean & neat. The owners are very caring and accommodating. The Dog Park was large with plenty of room to run around. We really enjoyed the heated pool too!

Great park. Friendly staff. The park is in the middle of farm land and we loved it. Nice and easy pull through site for a night on our way to CA. It's on my permanent list of favs.

Lots of amenities available. I took a spot with pet play area and tables. Two disappointing areas 1) there were numerous discarded maybe construction trash, tree trimming along the fence. 2) (maybe me and maps) I thought the location was next to picacho peak park and I could hike it...it's not.

Every thing about our stay was above expectations! The facility is immaculate, the owner’s and family all super friendly. It was quiet at night, people there were very respectful. A wonderful experience - we will definitely be back !

Park is conveniently located, very clean, quiet and nicely set up. We had a pet pen at out site which was very nice for our pups. The staff is very friendly. Will definitely tell others. We will be back again.

The Picacho KOA is one of the cleanest and most comfortable sites that I have stayed at during my 20+ years as a member. The RV sites were very easy to pull in and out. The sites were flat and didn't require much in the way of leveling jacks. There were lots of trees for shading. The entire experience was very pleasant.

Clean, heated pool. Owner was very nice. Bathrooms & showers wherr clean. Loved the privacy fencing, concrete pads for patio. Walking paths marked. Only stayed 1 night. Did have some train,plane & freeway noise.

Have been to this koa several times. Back in the falls and just recently they are always improving the property and always very nice and accommodating. Anytime I am passing through there I will be staying at their facility.

All the unusual cactus on the ground is really cool. The staff are all really nice. Very clean facilities. I just wish they had a hot tub for these old bones. Lol! Would stay again.

Great park, very well kept up and clean. Love that they provide every site with a little fire pit. Laundry was immaculate. Staff was very kind. Not much around the area but works for passing through.

Bad thing: Too many barking yapping dogs that have owners that don't care if it bothers others. Maybe put all the dogs in one area ? Good thing: The staff is GREAT !! The bathrooms are so clean and lots of hot water in the showers.

We always stop here in our Class A, towing a vehicle. I reserve on the KOA website. We avoid arriving around noon as owner and family close for lunch. When pulling in, it can get congested at entrance, if a few RV's are all arriving at same time. Walk in, give your name and they give you a site map and an escort to your reserved spot. 3 minutes tops. Nice people, good service. We've been staying here since before the new owners a few years ago. We're in good hands with these owners! Clean restrooms. SEVERAL Big showers. Laundry. Mini-market. Otherwise Elroy is just a few Mile's before this KOA.

Clean campground with fabulously friendly staff. Good WiFi and laundry facilities and perfect spot for an overnight or extended stay to visit the many nearby historic & natural attractions.
