Campground Reviews

I'm not a fan of close quarters full hook up camping but it has its place. My kids and I were racing in a local event and needed a place to stay and fortunately the Oregon dunes KOA had an open space. After reserving a space for Friday, I found that we needed to stay a second night. I called the host who got us a second night even though online reservation said they were full. Very helpful staff.

The people were family friendly and worked hard and kept the place up even tho they were understaffed.

Attendants were rude.

Was fun watching all the ATV's coming and going. Dog park was close to us. Clean grounds.

The campground is perfect for access to the dunes and beach and the facilities are nice and clean. The only downside is that some sites are even with the RV’s septic and it’s very hard to get it to drain.

They let chicken out in are camping site . I’m not a chicken fan . My dogs & I had to stay in are trailer & did not get the outside part of camping due to farm animals let loose in camp ground !!!

So the campground is nice overall but the cabin we rented was disgusting. First of all it was $600 a night and it was a 2 bedroom 2 bath grand house they call it. The outside was very dirty and it looked like the floor mat had never been cleaned the inside was even worse. The blinds had been chewed by mice and there was mice poop on the window sills. The fridge and floors were filthy as well.

This was our second time and we have enjoyed both stays! We have kids and they love the wreck hall and jumping pad. The site was clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly! We are already coming back in the fall!

It would be a 5 rating except it is annoying to have to pick up the shower coins daily. Why couldn’t the guests be trusted with them at the time of checking in? ( One day the office already closed before we could get ours ).

Friendly staff and nice facilities

The tent site was right next to the 101, so all you hear all night is the sound of trucks on the highway. There is also no separation between the sites, so the other noise I heard all night was the sound of my camp site neighbors snoring very loudly. You have to be issued a token to take a shower, which was extremely inconvenient as I was a late check in, so had to wait until 9 AM to get it.

They were really lacking due to lack of staff

Bathrooms were dirty, again. Wreck hall bathroom out of toilet paper and garbage overflowing for days. Really feels like the "ORV-centric" nature of this KOA lets all other aspects of the campground be forgotten. Our cabin smelled like someone had a fish fry in it. Really like this KOA but the overall experience has gone downhill over the years. Bring back ice cream social!

Even though they were under staffed, the staff was helpful and friendly. We love this KOA and enjoy every stay every time.

If you don’t own a dune buggy or have children do not stay there. Very noisy and dusty.

The campgrounds were clean and well monitored. There was plenty of things for kiddos to do, but $4.00 for a bag of ice is a bit too high.

Staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. Campsites were roomy and clean. This was our first time here and we'll be back

It was very loud with all of the razors and quads coming and going late into the night.

Very nice stay, area was clean. I was at Spot 44 and the cable TV was not working.

The KOA and staff are great! We did have problems with a group of campers that came in around us. Dogs off leashes, constantly walking and riding quadsthrough our camp site and when we left, the group in Z02 was stealing power from C02 that had no one in it.

Friendly staff but be prepared for dusty conditions (& noisy from ATVs) due to the location. If you like to get dirty this is the place for you.

Very nice staff

No policing of loud music. Could be heard throughout the camp ground in spite of policies.

Nice place to stay if you are into riding ATV's and dirt bikes! Quick ride to the dunes and ocean for fun. Dog park was terrible, no one picked up after their pets and didn't seem the regs were followed.

We had a wonderful time at Oregon Dunes KOA. Convenient location to explore the Dunes. Clean and organized campground. Would recommend to friends and family.

Unwanted. But then I didn't know anyone. Not rich enough I guess.

This is always a great place to stay. Just wish I could get more days here. They are so busy and packed, but that is how it is with great places..

If you have a toy hauler full of toys this is THE place to be. If you are camping and exploring go somewhere else. For being on the coast of Oregon the campground was nothing but dust. I couldn’t open windows or cook outside. Very happy to be leave the next morning.

Enjoyed our stay

Huge amount of things for the kids to do. Never once did they say they were bored. Lots of riding on the dunes for the adults.

Was disappointed with the spot they put us in. Super windy and dusty all the time. We had a layer of dirt by every window that we cracked open. There we’re plenty of spots open in the upper campground and asked why we couldn’t move in there. Was told they didn’t have anything? Several spots We’re completely open during our stay.Upper campground looked much nicer and more protected from th

Worst stay in over 25 years, they gave my site away after being booked a year in advance and tired to make it sound like I did it, no manager on site to correct the problem. Never offered to make up for it or apologize for the mixup on KOA side. Very poor service, I get that Covid has caused some issues but come on now. We have been coming to your KOA for well over 25 years, very poor service.

As always a great campground for accessing the dune. Would have been a five star review if the kid train would run the same amount it has in years past instead of the 15-30 it does now.

Paid a lot of money to stay here and the experience was much different from all other KOAs. Staff was not friendly at check in. Showers were limited to 8 min per person and the first time I tried to shower, it didn’t work at all. The second time it shut off with 5 min remaining and I didn’t have time to rinse the soap and conditioner off. WiFi is $10 per device.

This campground does not compare to other KOA CAMPGROUNDS. It is a good place if you like to ride the dunes. It is right next to a ATV rental place which is nice. The park itself just not stand up to the KOA standards.

Awesome week of riding the dunes. Already reserved a site for next year.

Very nice facility. Easy access in and out of park. Great having the little store there and amenities are good. Nice spot for the dogs to be off leash. Great place for ATV’s as everyone had one.

My family stays here every time we visit the Oregon Dunes. We love the accessibility to the dunes while being out of the wind. The amenities available at camp are outstanding. This location is family and dog friendly. The kids dune area is especially great for young kids and we appreciate the rec area on bad weather weekends.
