The location is good with the exception of the freeway being right beside the campground; so you hear vehicles and trucks all night long. The staff is less than desirable as they don’t seem to understand we are paying customers. If you don’t leave right @ 11:00AM, they will charge your card without telling you. I found staff to be extremely shady and unforgiving. I won’t go back to this

Facility was great. I know the fireworks were almost 3 miles away but people should have been warned. It sounded and felt like a war zone from 5-11:30 or later. We knew what it was . Others might have thought we were at war. Shook our vehicle.made my chest hurt. Animals had to really suffer. Couldn’t stay last day. 3 miles and the shells were so loud earplugs no good.

The staff was very accommodating. We stayed for the Indy Car race. When I went to book there were no sites available so they let us stay at a seasonal site. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

Extremely loud cannon booms and fireworks going off continuously from our arrival at 3:30 pm until midnight. It have been nice if we were forewarned and could have made other arrangements. Very bad noise for our dog who never had issues with fireworks before (super loud).

Although we enjoyed the amenities of the KOA including the nearby walking/nature path and the laundry facilities, we were disappointed by the noise level of the nearby freeway. Also, the second night the nearby racetrack was having a fireworks extravaganza that lasted from the late afternoon until nearly eleven p.m. The shady park was nice and the pool that is being built looks very nice.

Very tight spots although they did not put anybody next to us on either side but I’m sure if people were coming in they would. Fire pit for the site next to us would have burned my truck door if anybody would have used it. Looked pretty decent when we pulled in and then they took us to our site way back around and only 100 yards or less than the highway. Had to sleep with the fan on.

Pretty nice place, easy off/on from the I-80 exit. The sites are clean, some shaded. Tent sites, Cabins, and of course back-in and pull-throughs with full hookup. The noise from the expressway is understandable given the proximity to I-80, but it's not terrible. Some of the pull-throughs are really close together, which makes for some careful maneuvering when parking your rig. New pool coming soon

Highway noise is loud and constant. No pool, under construction. Noise is the ONLY drawback to this site. Staff, facilities (minus pool) were exceptional.

Grounds were well kept and so clean! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and fun! Highly recommend this KOA! Will stay here again.

The owners and staff did an excellent job of making our stay enjoyable. It is a beautiful and well-kept campground. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had strong water pressure, plenty of hot water, and even body wash dispensers. It would've been nice to have had a couple more feet between our space and the next-door camper. Overall, I would highly recommend this KOA campground.

Stay at KOA Newton was a blessing! We were on the waiting list because it was a packed weekend for the Indy Races and we were blessed to get a spot at the last minute. We thought we were going to have to split our stay into two spot while we were there, but the hosts were so wonderful that they called us while were setting up to let us know we could stay in the same spot the whole weekend!

Very quiet. And I'm in wheelchair an wanted Popsicles. Girl was so sweet at desk brought me my order for 10 Popsicles. We left this am. They were. Good. We will be back and telling my friends thank you

KOA did a great job during race weekend! They had a shuttle to the Iowa Speedway which is a great idea! Will definitely come back next year!

I booked 5 months in advance to secure a shady and level site. I arrive after driving 450 miles to find out the owner has downgraded my reservation. Reason given was motorhome towing would not fit, however, a motorhome towing was occupying the site. Same size as my equipment. The check in was awkward and there was no intention of telling me I was downgraded until I said something.

The staff is great. The location is convenient. The men's bathroom looked a little rough the one (and only) time we went in it but I could have been there just before morning cleaning. As with many KOAs the sites are close together. And the pull thru sites in the lower level are not shady. We plan on being back each year.

A great visit for the Indy race weekend, the KOA ran a shuttle bus to the track and cared about every rider. Breakfast was available Saturday, just another way this KOA looks after their customers. I'll be back again soon!

Always a great stay at Newton KOA. Wish the 50 amp full hook up pull thru sites were a little wider, but other than that, no complaints! See you again...

We chose KOA because of the pool, very disappointed we were not notified it was under construction. Cable TV did not work. When I reported it to the office, was told they had no previous complaints about that sight and that the issue must be with my camper. No one even bothered to check it. My camper worked fine when I returned home.

Excellent camping experience. The shuttle for the race was a disappointment because of long wait times and lack of space in van with demand being so high for this event. Gotta think that someone would have foreseen this issue with the number of campers signed up and the use of a 12 passenger van.

Overpriced. Campsites were so close together you couldn't use the fire pits. The shuttle we paid extra for was great for getting to the racetrack, but terrible getting back.

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.

We have been staying at the KOA for a couple of months. All the staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. Great place for summer with the kiddos too. We have stayed at a few campgrounds since we bought our camper and this one has been the best by far. Laundry facilities, outhouse and bathrooms are always clean.
