Was good, staff were friendly. Still find most KOA's too close to the road, so very noisy but wasn't too bad here.

Our initial ride to the office was interesting as we had to put our truck in 4wheel drive to get up the hill. The site was "ok" the pool cloudy and disgusting. No way was I going swimming in there!

This is a nice place to stay. We had an issue regarding getting our unit level, but they let us change sites and we were very happy.

Truly what I would call and "All American" facility!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The dog run was the largest one we have seen. The dogs loved it. The camp sites were nice and shaded with other sites more sunny if this is your preference. The grounds were well kept and there were plenty of activities.

Amazing! Hoping to make it an annual place for the Seay Family Reunion.

Lots of large poison ivy vines growing on trees at camp sites.

This KOA has a good location and decent Wi-Fi. The folks are friendly and Check-in was easy. BUT: Spaces are very tight and Very close together. Your very nice picnic table is next to your neighbors plumbing - more so than any place we've stayed. Tree limbs rubbed the coach (Not just the antennas) on the road in and at our site. The driveway crosses a very narrow bridge in a turn.

The air conditioner in the cabin kept shutting off like it had a thermostat on it but it was still hot in the cabin. I didn't realize the pool was open to the public & the bathroom was constantly dirty. The wood we purchased was wet & didn't burn very well. Never saw a snack bar and there wasn't very much to buy in the store. The KOA in Cherokee has a lot more amenities and costs about the same.

The air conditioner in my cabin would not stay on. There was only one bathroom for the whole camp and the campground allowed locals to swim in their pool fire a fee so the bathroom was constantly occupied.

Beverley and her husband who checked us in went out of their way to be sure we had a superior experience. Lovely location with lots of trees. CLEAN bathrooms and showers, thank you!

Campground was clean, employees friendly & helpful. Free WiFi but not much good. Most of the time you can't get onto the internet. This was a problem last year, so apparently they have no intention of upgrading it. Other than that, great place to camp.

Many thanks for the friendly welcome and for the excellent, well manicured campground.

Difficult road into it. Grass terribly tall except office area. Sites not very level. Seasonal workers nice

Picnic table was so dirty it was not usable. Very loud traffic noise from the highway. The office had smell of tobacco smoke. A dog was running loose. It kept hanging around my dog when I tried to walk him, sniffing him and would not leave us alone. The volunteer KOA worker said, "It is the bosses dog." There are signs everywhere stating that dogs must be on a leash at all times. No trash pick up.

In order for us to hook our sewer up we were given a site where we ended up with a tree right in front of the door. The sites should be upgraded so that you have a sewer in the middle.

This is a perfect place to stay when you just need a place to bunk at night after being out in the area during the day. So many great tourist areas are an easy drive from here.

A dead decaying animal was on the site next to ours and my dog grabbed it....SO gross. Had to bathe him. NOT COOL. Grass needed mowing, etc. On the positive side, they did have beautiful irises here and there...I helped myself to one to offset the smell of the dead animal. Looks like it used to be a nice place, but now, not so much.

The staff at smoky mountain koa was absolutely amazing! We arrived extremely early and they were very accommodating in any way they could find possible. The cabin was just what we needed to get some rest and the kids enjoyed the playground! Showers were hot and clean. Great campground!!
