Bike MS is a 2-day cycling event that raises funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis in eastern North Carolina and throughout the United States. Money raised through this event funds MS research, programs, services, and advocacy. In 2011, over 2,600 participants raised $1,677,423 to create a world free of MS. This year, our goal is to raise $1.7 million!
Bike MS cyclists enjoy two full days of riding through rural eastern North Carolina. Each day, cyclists can choose to ride 30, 50, 75 or 100 miles on fully-supported routes. At the conclusion of each day's ride, cyclists are greeted by cheerful volunteers, a delicious, hot meal, ice cold beverages, and live entertainment. It's a great time, you should join us!
Have you marked your calendar October 6-7, 2017 for the NC Seafood Fest? Chair, Mindy Fitzpatrick, invites YOU to join in on all the fun! Live entertainment, food, and rides are just some of the fun things to do on the Morehead City waterfront.
Check out their facebook page for more information.
This two-day event is sponsored by the Greater Havelock Chamber of Commerce at the City Park off Highway 70 in Havelock, NC.
Walter B. Jones Park in Havelock is the place to be for the first taste of gourmet chili, wings, free music, lots of vendors and fun at the Chili Festival. Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point flies in a Pedro helicopter for static display both Friday from 5 to 9 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. For chili-tasters preferring to stay in their vehicles, a drive-through pickup station staffed by volunteer youth service groups serves up 12-ounce containers of wings and a drink Friday evening, and of chili and a drink for $5 Saturday in the City Hall Parking lot off N.C. Highway 101. The annual event is sponsored by the Havelock Chamber of Commerce and the Havelock Rotary Club. Vendor information and tickets are available at the chamber.
