Make Mountain Home your center for exploration and discovery. Located at the hub of it all, Mountain Home is the closest KOA to Idaho's state capital of Boise. Enjoy the attractions of both cities or escape into the wild. Some of the country's best fly fishing is just 45 minutes away on the South Fork of the Boise River. Swim, boat or water-ski on one of the nearby reservoirs of the Snake River. Bring your binoculars and visit the Snake River Birds of Prey Area or climb a sand dune, one of the tallest in North America. Mountain Home's annual Air Force Appreciation Day in September features a parade, free food and a jet fly-by. Let kids stretch weary muscles at the kids' playground, watch the puppy at KOA's dog playground or relax in one of KOA's long pull throughs.
