Very easy to get to. Great location. Just beware the train noise!!

This is a very nice KOA. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back again.

Nice campground, but the pool was so cold we couldnt use it. My grandkids were so disappointed. For this reason we wouldnt return.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Were happy you were pleased with the campground. The pool, were sorry your grand-kids were disappointed, the pool is very seasonal and if we heated it, the charges would have to be reflected back somewhere. Visit in the summer and kids will feel refreshed. Don't let your last visit be your last.

Clean campsite. Friendly staff. Cars were broken into at night and guy was smoking weed in the bathroom.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The report of vehicles broken into was looked into and it happened just not at our place but all over town. We cannot comment about the smoking in the bathroom as no one from your party or others reported that to the office.

Very clean and quiet, the grounds are beautiful we would have been happy staying longer!

My group rented 4 cabins (family get together) 3 family members were bit by bees, the manager just laughed, and 1 family member ended up going to the hospital in need of antibiotics and inflammation meds. Our vehicles were broken into and items stolen, and we had to file reports. The small bathroom does not accommodate all the campers. We will not go back.

Our campsite was over run by bees. Several of our family members were bitten/stung. The camp manager laughed when it was up. Then several of our vehicles were broken into and items stolen. The bathrooms were too small for the camp and there were large lines at all times during the day. Very disappointed!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Bees in a natural environment often swarm and where they locate is unpredictable. The Manager did not laugh or ignore the situation. We have a pest company we call and monitors our grounds routinely. Suggestion is when your around bees or pests do not disturb them and they will not bother you.

+ves 1)Campground rates are great. 2)Amenities are enough. 3)Close to the town. -ves 1)Not that I had to wait for long time but wish there would be another couple of bathrooms in different corners of the campground. Campers have to walk a distance or drive to the only bathrooms near office/Store. 2)That train noise during the night hours! OMG. And why they have to whistle near campground

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your comment on rates and amenities, that's what makes camping fun and affordable. Yours and my Federal Government sets rules when it comes to railroads and whistles, not us. We do post on our info and web about the train. Whistles DO SAVE LIVES for both animals and people.

Tent sites are subjected to extremely loud freight trains from right across the street. They run all night. Otherwise site is fine, if you don't like to sleep.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Some people love the trains. For those that don't we do offer free ear plugs. We have on our web site and info page train info and warn guests in advance. The trains have been here way before us and its something we cannot control. The whistles prevent deaths, and I myself am one that loves trains.

easy in easy out, only stayed a couple of hours for sleep, very clean, only wish for a dog run

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dog run is on the schedule to be completed by Spring. Visit us again and you and your best friend will be pleased. Next time stay longer. Thanks

The campsite was crappy.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I quote you, the campsite was "crappy" Was it because you wanted something more elegant, private or secluded. We often get high reviews about our sites. You were also given an option to pick and choose a different site one of over 40 available that evening. Were sorry you were not satisfied.

Stayed here many times over the last 15-20 years. It's fine. BUT this time the trees dripped a large amount of what appeared to be sap on car and trailer. Very messy.

Amazing location at the foot of My.Shasta.With wonderful views. Great wildlife around. Restrooms a little too far from cabin. We only had 1 night at this campground so the pool opening at 11am meant that our daughter didn't get a chance to enjoy it before we made our way on the road.
Sep 02, 2016
Very nice cabins and warm clean restrooms. Friendly helpful staff.
Sep 02, 2016
The campground is well kept, the staff was friendly and the facilities we well maintained. The bathrooms could use an update, but they are functional and clean.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your mention of staff and campground. We work very hard in pleasing everyone. With (3) stalls in each and if it was busy when you came its difficult to keep the bathrooms clean at all times, but we will put additional attention to the restrooms so they are kept in new like condition.

Very nice facility. Good location for our visit.
Aug 31, 2016
need more grass less dust. maintenance in general could be improved. Other than that we were happy. we would come back
Aug 31, 2016
The location wasn't great, considering the proximity to Mt. Shasta. A bit more urban than I expected. There were a lot of smelly people there, both campers and the on-duty staff, which was a bit off-putting, or maybe I'm just too sensitive.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our campground borders US Forest Service land and no private owners can own land on the mountain. We are conveniently close to the Hwy but far enough to eliminate traffic noise. We cannot set or suggest hygiene for our campers but if you were offended by a member of our staff we apologize.
Aug 30, 2016
The train horn kept us awake all night long . Would not recommend this park to anyone because of that.
Aug 30, 2016
Convenient location to downtown. We really enjoyed 'glamping' in our deluxe cabin complete with ensuite bath, TV, microwave and fridge. Helpful staff
Aug 30, 2016
Our sewage drain was full halfway thru our stay so we went home with a half full sewage and gray water tank. They shut the water off before 11am, even though they said it would be off 11-5. There was after no one at the office during office hours.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This is an untrue statement. The City / Municipal Water District did not shut off water till 11:15 its been posted for a week. Office closes for lunch and office was back open at 2:00. If you would like to further question we have receipts and time cards from staff to show the exact times.

Pool is great! Couldn't get wifi at cabin; had to take laptop by office. No plug for bath tub. Window didn't open easily. Otherwise a nice place. Nice people.
Aug 29, 2016
Convenient. Crazy loud trains at night really hurt sleep. Too dusty and not enough vegetation. Clean facilities.
Aug 29, 2016
Aug 29, 2016
Best WIFI of any of the KOAs I've stayed in . . . Thanks p.s. I like the 3 a.m. train whistles.
Aug 29, 2016
Nice people, nice campground :)

Aug 28, 2016
Loud train passes very close to the grounds. Campsites are crowded close together. Playground and pool were nice. The restroom was clean.
Aug 28, 2016
Upon arriving were informed full hook up at our reserved site were not available. We were moved to a site that was extremely dusty and the cable was bad. I had to fix the cable myself.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

It does not happen often but sometimes a site will need to be shut down for maintenance and a reserved site has to be moved. The cable often gets disconnected or a previous guest might do something requiring the cable to be repaired. Thank you for taking the time to help. Next time just ask for help

We stayed here on our trip to Oregon, liked it so much, we stayed here again on our way home. Thank you!
Aug 26, 2016
Very nice facility and pleasant staff.
Aug 26, 2016
Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views of the mountains right from the campsite.
Aug 25, 2016
Wonderful, ppl there was really helpful and friendly. Cabin and surrounded areas was clean. We just love it. Also is kids friendly.
Aug 25, 2016
We were put in a sunny space when there were lots around with shade at 90+ temps. Glad our rig has an air. Looks like it would be a great campground for tent campers.
Aug 25, 2016
Nice large spaces with wonderful shade. Best KOA I've ever stayed in.
Aug 24, 2016
Aug 24, 2016
Excellent
Aug 24, 2016
Could use a little help. There were trees, adequate pull thru spaces, very dusty, no gravel.
Aug 24, 2016
Great location, good cool pool! new improved site adj office but lots of late arrivals/early departures-guests?
Aug 23, 2016
Cabins are nice but very close to each other with nothing between. Laundry available was nice.
Aug 23, 2016
The staff was very friendly. The park is in a pretty sad state of disrepair, it seemed everything was broken. The pool is the coldest pool we have ever felt. Be prepared for the homeless folks with the bathroom code to show up after the office closes. It's good for an overnight stay but not a destination.

We needed a quiet easy spot to stop at for the night, and this was perfect. Nicely situated off the highway away from the noise, and it had a pool--much to the great delight of our son. Also very easy to pull the RV in and out, with the drive-through spots.
Aug 22, 2016
Went out of the way to get us close to the restroom and showers.
Aug 22, 2016
Every time a car passed or children on bicycles, the dust was almost unbearable. I would compare a KOA campground with a Motel 6. Has the necessary amenities but nothing to set them apart.
Aug 22, 2016
I love staying here! The hosts are so helpful and friendly!
Aug 21, 2016
The bathrooms are dirty.
Aug 21, 2016
Loved the patio and metal furniture. Nice stay.
Aug 21, 2016
This was our last night of our summer vacation and we paid for the delux cabin. Planned on it being a wonderful surprise for our kids. Instead we got to cabin at 8:00pm, temp for the day had been high 90's and the cabin was closed up. Windows closed, ceiling fan off and no a/c. It was easily 110 in our 1 at delux cabin. When I went to ask for fans, office person laughed and said it would cool soon
