Found great hiking trails and went swimming in Lake Siskiyou. The views were amazing. The KOA staff was helpful and kind!

We made our reservations four months ahead of time and were given a space far away from where we requested. The WiFi was substandard and were given a lame excuse and ineffective resolution. Also advertised cable tv but there wasn't any available.

When we arrived the pool was closed for service. When I discussed with the office staff it had been out of service for a while with no timeline for repair. We picked this KOA because of the pool. The facilities were in fair condition, but not as clean and well kept as other KOAs I have been to. I would also suggest that the office staff improve their customer service and helpfulness.

very pleased with our accommodations. cabin was excellent. Friendly staff.

I like KOA when traveling because they are easily located and have full hook ups. We came in late and they made it easy just to settle in quickly on our own. There was a mix up on my Acct at first and I was charged twice after being canceled but all got straightened out. No working power outlets in women's bathroom as well :/

short but very nice (people and grounds)
Jun 27, 2016
Everything was great. Only complaint was that the pool was out of service and the blinds in the main bedroom were broken so we couldn't close them. With that said we would definitely stay at this location again. The staff was really friendly, and the people in town were as well.
Jun 27, 2016
Bathrooms were hideous on both nights. We spent one night on the way up to Washington and one night two weeks later. It was as if the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned much in between. The first stay no plugs worked in the women's restroom. This was still a problem two weeks later. One shower head broken so only two showers in a very busy campground. Pool out of commission as well.

Other than train, a 10/10!

Nice campgrounds and great office people who were very helpful and friendly.

OK for overnight but no more. Management seems "absent". Pit bull tied outside camper for hours and often overnight made part of grounds unaccessible, most washers and dryers appeared to be broken, no dog park. Won't likely be back.

Great campsite. Super kid-friendly!
Jun 27, 2016
poor entrance, can be blocked and can be a big fire hazard. poor wifi.
Jun 26, 2016
Campground is a bit tired and run down. Introduction to property is a dilapidated privacy fence and indifferent staff. Bathrooms not well maintained; water warm not hot, outlets don't work, paper towel dispenser falling off wall, rarely cleaned. Swimming pool out of order. Staff blamed poor internet on the mountains, but really just need to invest in another access point or repeater.

Have you ever wondered why colleges offer a degree in hospitality, stay here and you'll understand. When I asked about area, seemed bothered to answer question, Blinds in cabin damage, limited hot water. Told camp host of hot water issue. Said If didn't like we could leave. Done. Don't stay here, better KOA parks out there.

Great place.

Always enjoy my stays as Bill bends over backwards to ensure your stay is a great experience. Love the sound of the train as it passes by as it calls me back to a time when people took more time to enjoy life and the beauty that surrounds you in Mt. Shasta KOA. Can't wait for my next visit.

We are three motorcyclists who wanted (needed) a Bro-Trip getaway. Your Kamping Cabin (k48) was the perfect getaway for us. Close to the bathrooms/showers, and far enough away from other campers so that out occasional drinking games didn't (we hope) bother them. The staff were fantastic, and the facilities were just what we needed. Thank you. We are planning another trip next year. Thank you
Jun 25, 2016
Front desk staff is not too accommodating and not as friendly as the other KOA's we have visited. But great location off the I-5. So much to do in the area. The surrounding lakes are much warmer than the swimming pool.
Jun 25, 2016
We both had the cabin and campsite. The kampground is so clean, great facilities, location is perfectly convenient that is walking distance to the main city. Their cabin is also an AAA++

Please improve the wifi setup, otherwise great place to stay

Easy to get into, quiet, nice trees. Not deep woods here but very nice overrall.
Jun 24, 2016
Very nice park. Very friendly staff.
Jun 24, 2016
Easy entry

This KOA had great spaces and clean. I would have rated more stars but some things around the campground needed fixing up including two washer machines out of order. The laundrey facility could use a cleaning and updating.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We came in after a long day of driving and the young lady in the office was not the most helpful. The site was difficult to get into with no direction of how to get to it. Why is there no fire ring in the RV sites? Overall, it is a nice campground. The customer service was lacking.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your feedback. If you are unsure of where to go and there are multiple people in the office, feel free to ask us to lead you out to your site. We want to make this a good experience for you. -Mt. Shasta KOA Staff

we should get a refund!!!! upon arriving, tired from long day of driving we are placed in a campsite without water but to add insult to injury they tell us we can move, however, there is hardly ANY water coming from spiggets in the whole campground...gotta search. they don't seem to care NEVER WILL RECOMMEND !!! seems RV's are their thing- we are campers- they are lousy at that!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

When making a reservation, please contact the office to inquire about water-specific sites. Unfortunately, a guest recently ran over the piping and we must wait until the one, local provider is available. Thank you for the feedback, we love hearing how we can improve your stay! Safe travels.

We just did an overnight this time, but it was still nice.
Jun 22, 2016
Overnight ok could use a little TLC but overall good and friendly
Jun 22, 2016
I love this campground! The location is amazing. Mt Shasta is so beautiful and the town is lovely and there are beautiful lakes to swim in very close by (and hiking too). The campground is always clean and nice and the people working there are friendly and helpful. We have stayed in the cute cabins and have tent camped there, too, and both have been really fun. We keep coming back from the Bay Are

Need to keep bathrooms cleaner
Jun 20, 2016
This location is okay for one night stay during trip, the area could have used more trees and we would have loved a fire pit but none were at the RV sites, only tents. KOA is family oriented and I was turned off by the "bar" appearance of the office with TONS of alcohol being displayed for purchase. Most likely won't be back. Friendly staff and nice bathrooms/showers.
Jun 20, 2016
The camp ground was nice and easy to access. RV hookup placement was ideal. Staff was very friendly. The only negative was that woman's restroom need more attention. The floors were very dirty.
Jun 20, 2016
Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service and accommodations. The location is fairly quiet, and well shaded. My tent trailer has a 10' water hose,hook-up was at end of the space, so I couldn't park where I wanted. Are you related to Stirling City Merlo?

Staff was very friendly. Hookups worked fine but......my wife said "bathroom had hairballs in the drains, garbage like cigarette packs on the floors. The showers were gross and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days". She also said none of the power outlets worked.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We were very excited about this location as we had family coming from 5 hrs south and 5 hrs north..my mom, for the first time was uniting with both her kids, 4 grandkids and 3 great grandkids..our tent site was abundantly spacious but the bathroom and shower was quite a walk, especially for my mom and the kiddos..we were also without any kind of trash receptacle, it was quite tough hauling it out

We stayed at the upgrade site next to clubhouse. Only a passing through this time, but will return for a longer stay in the future. Have already recommended to family members.

I've camped in many KOAs. The restrooms were a ridiculous distance from the cabin . a port a potty or something would have been helpful. The cabin next to mine had construction debris laying hap hazardly. If I had small kids this would be a safety issue . Firewood outrageously priced . Go to grocery store to get it . Quite dirty . Trains weren't an issue at all

This was a stop over on the way to the Oregon Coast. We enjoyed our stay, all sites are pull through and wooded. Lots of trees and wild flowers. It is rustic and well maintained and friendly employees.

Expected TV, cable was there ,but told it did not work in that area. Make a rainy day boring.
