Montague Balloon Fair occurs every year during late September in the scenic Shasta Valley off the north face of majestic Mt Shasta. This is a free event, open to the public.
This event will take place on September 22 - 24.
The McCloud Chamber of Commerce and the Great Shasta Rail Trail Association invite you to have a day of fun in historic McCloud. The 2017 event will include mountain and road bike rides, described below plus the ever-popular cyclo-cross races.Mountain and road bike riders will again enjoy supported rides through the beautiful forest that surrounds our historic town. The routes enjoyed in previous years will again invite your joyful participation.When you finish your ride in downtown McCloud the festivities will already be underway! You can grab some brats and beer, enjoy some live music, watch or participate in Cyclo-cross, and enjoy some shopping at our craft booths. And of course, visit the Bug Guy!You won't want to miss Bike-toberfest 2017, a day filled with fun for the whole family!
The 3rd Annual Apple Harvest Festival will be held on October 14th from 10am to 6pm on Main St, McCloud. The festivities begin at 10AM with a Scarecrow Building Contest with music by Andre Mottershead until Noon.At 11AM, bring your fresh, homemade apple pie for the Apple Pie Contest. Wind Horse 3-Piece Band takes the stage from 1-3PM to round out the afternoon.A VERY special catered Harvest Dinner is planned at 6PM. Cost information will be available as the event draws near.The night is just beginning as the live band comes to the dance floor from 7-11PM at 424 Main Street. For only $5 per person, you can dance and enjoy the night with friends and family and help celebrate another successful Apple Harvest Festival.
Join us from 3-7 pm for: Tree Lighting Celebration, Fun & Unique Entertainment, Hot Drinks, Cozy Fire Pits, Reindeer Run, Festive Shopping in Downtown Mount Shasta, Children's Choir, Entertainment, Santa & Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Santa's Elves, Frosty the Snowman, and more…The tree will be lit at City Plaza on Mount Shasta Boulevard around 6 pm.This event is sponsored by a myriad of volunteers in collaboration with the City of Mt. Shasta, the Mt. Shasta Fire Association, and the Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce; Mountain Runners and many local sponsors.
Bring your dressed up dogs, stick ponies, bikes and humans over the hill for McCloud's 11th Annual Dog, Pony and Bike Parade Friday, November 24th. Registration for the Main Street parade begins at 10AM with the festivities rolling out at 12PM. Don't have a bike? Then hop in your vintage ride and be a part of the show! Don't forget, Santa Claus will be making a VERY special appearance for all the little ones looking to share their Christmas list with the big guy. There will be a special "Christmas Crafts" area for all to come and create a little homemade treasure.
