RV Reviews

Great location for riding our motorcycle. Many amenities we do not use. Price before Holiday very reasonable. Okay showers and WIFI.

Wifi did not work until I manually took the IP of receptionist's iphone. Please ask your IT to upgrade wifi to support at least 3 devices per RV/camper/cabin.

If you don't want to you your cell phone or wifi you might like this place for a over night stay. If you need to do laundry don't do it here go down town. The people here were very friendly and knowledgable.

We are full time RV'ers and have been to many KOA's. This has to be the largest. This is a kid's dream, sites are nice size the view is beautiful BUT they don't tell you there is no cell service!! If you want to get your kids away from the outside world this is a great place. Workers and staff are very friendly and helpful. Would have given it a 10 except for phone service.

Showers were lacking for hot water. Store was wonderful. A little confusing on the map. Got lost but, was rescued.

Stayed for one night early in season. The store there is great for supplies, the location good. The facilities were excellent and the grounds in a spectacular setting. Can't comment on the activities/entertainment as that had yet to commence for the season.

This is a great location with a nice staff, but it missed the mark. The pull through sites were small, which caused almost everyone to park on the grass in their site, making them small. The "shaded areas" were only from other RVs as there were no trees to speak of near the sites. Gas engine carts drove by all day from 7 am to dark. Tour buses parked in the road next to us and idled. Won't be back

Everything was wonderful. Especially liked the friendly staff and waitresses

Our first stay at a KOA and it was great. Looking forward to more stays.

Beautiful spot...convenient

All of the staf and maintenance people were great. Did not like the fact that there was no cell service and number of sites that had cable tv was very limited. ALSO, PRICE OF PROPANE IS RIDICULOUS. TWICE THAT OF THE LAST PLACE I STAYED.

We stayed here during a very cold period and the water tap leaked and it wasn't two minutes and it was repaired by very friendly staff. The restrooms are the best I've seen. Love that it backs to several National Forest hiking trails, 6 miles to Mt Rushmore, restaurant on site was awesome, best KOA I've ever stayed at.

Everyone was very friendly. The facility was very clean and offered a lot of activities, even in the cold. The store had everything we forgot to bring as well. Will definitely be going back!

We plan to return in the summer when more of your activities are open.

Campground has good facilities & staff. But they don't have cell phone coverage via local repeaters as advertised. Cable TV service is poor. And their Wi-Fi network is unusable when there is more than a dozen campers. The red water in the laundry due to high iron content should be fixed. These would be minor gripes for most campgrounds, but given the rates charged, I expect more.

First time and was awesome.

This is a beautiful camp ground in a great location. It's to bad they were not ready to be open when they opened. My wife asked if the laundry was available and was told on the phone that it was. When we arrived we were directed to a location that was locked and full of torn apart laundry equipment. We returned to the front desk and was told that there was in fact no working laundry facility.

Don't wash white clothes at the laundramat. It ruined several of my sweaters.Everything else there is excellent. The people are nice, and the park is beautiful, with beautiful views of the mountains. Cant wait to stay there again

Amazing stay! We liked being able to rent a car for the day -- very convenient. Lovely setting -- very peaceful even though it was very full -- well done!

Nice campsite, spacious. The showers were not the cleanest. We couldn't use the pool, waterslide and the play area because of the weather so we can't rate those.

We had a wonderful time staying at this KOA Kamground near Moutn Rushmore. It was a beautiful very well maintianed facility and was close to all the things we wanted to see and do. We would highly recommend this KOA and would defnitely stay here again if our travels bring us through that part of the country again!

Stayed here to see Mt. Rushmore. Great location to see Mt. Rushmore & Crazyhorse Monuments, each within 5 miles or so. Due to the time of year nothing at the KOA was open which was a bummer because we would have liked to try the restaurant. During the high season though, I can tell kids would LOVE this park! They also have one of the best KOA stores i have seen so far!

crowded & lousy campsites

We brought our 7 grandkids in June & had so much fun we came back in Sept. & went to the Buffalo Roundup!!! This KOA is big rig friendly, location is the best!! KOA made our trip perfect when our daughter's boyfriend surprised her @ Mt. Rushmore and asked her to marry him. We ended up renting the President's cabin for them to stay while we stayed in our RV, our site had a large patio & furniture

as long as you advertise WiFi and cable-you should make sure they work properly; the problems we had detracted from an otherwise good experience; please address and fix

my husband and I were on our honeymoon and we made reservations for a camp site farther out and since the time of year those camp areas were closed for season. As we understand that.. we did speak with a real person when booking and they indicated those sites would be there. the manager at the KOA-- WAS not helpful and did not try and keep our business. we will not stay at any KOA's
Oct 02, 2013
This was by far the KOA with the most activities- only they were mostly closed!!! It was very disappointing. It seems only to cater for the summer holiday crowd. Also, the staff were very aloof, and didn't seem to care very much about the clients. It's a shame, becasue they have great facilities. I would stay there again, but only for that. The staff should at least try to be friendlier.

the campground was very clean and nice. The bathrooms and showers were especially clean and they even had HOT water. the sites were nice and the scenery was beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wow, this campground was amazing. We came at the end of their season so we were unable to utilize all of the facilities due to them being closed for the season...but we still had a great time. We'd love to come back during the open season-can't even begin to think of how awesome that would be. VERY kid centered!! Perfect for families.
