Beautiful resort! So much to do for everyone. Of the 3 KOA resorts we have been to recently this by far was the best. Front staff was very helpful and professional.

I wish I could say good things about this campground because it really is a cool campground. Unfortunately, the way it's being ran is terrible. We booked full hook ups and didn't get them when we arrived. Then we extended our stay by one night but we had to move to a different spot. We arrived, we got set up only to find they double booked our spot, so had to move again. Not impressed.

Location could not have been any better. Staff was extremely helpful. Only disappointment was my American flag and metal pole were taken from campsite. As a veteran--that smarts!

The stay was so very awesome. The grounds were very clean and kept very well. The grill and tap room food a little pricey for the food and service. Never mind paying for GOOD food this how ever did not pass. Everything else was so very nice. People are very friendly at the KOA.

5 night stay here and would come back. This is a huge KOA and they are geared to family's. The wifi is a little spotty and the cell service is pretty much non existent so plan to unplug when you're here. Store and ice cream shop was awesome and the trail rides are right there so you won't have to drive anywhere.

It is a great location for visiting the Black Hills. The lack of cell service and internet connection is a problem. Your business office must have some sort of connection with the outside world so it has to be possible. For the price we paid, I would think upgrading that infrastructure should be doable.

We were at site 334. It was noisy, dirty, aTVs car, golf carts, driving faster than they should stirring up dirt! people walking through our camp any other campsite would have been 100% better. They should not have a campsite on the corner of main entrance to the activity Great resort horrible horrible site Not a pleasant stay at ALL!

This was a really nice KOA. I didn't expect such a fancy place in the middle of the Black Hills. The area is absolutely beautiful and I would recommend it to anybody. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My daughter and I will stay again in a heartbeat.

Very nice place. We arrived on labor day so snacks and cook tent etc were closed. So we did not have any food offerings but there is a lot to do within the park for families with young children. Grounds ate well kept and very clean and the gift shop/ store had a nice variety of items. Definitely will be back

Nice resort, but with all the amenities having no cell service is ridiculous. Also, you need to change the shower curtains more often. Had mold on them and were torn. With what you bring in, changing them periodically should be on your list of things to do.

4 Day stay over Labor Day weekend. Camp staff helped us empty our tanks at a vacant spot when the dump station had a long line forming (Thank you!). The comfort stations and trash pickup were especially helpful.

Unsure how a campground these days can advertise that wi-fi is available, yet it does not work, and never did work for the entirety of our stay. Additionally, none of us could download nor send much data via cell phone towers in the area. Downloads either did not work or were so slow to render them unusable. Text messages failed to send repeatedly.

Kind of a scam reserved a site by size. When I got the camper to the site it would not fit. Had to get a different site for allot more money. The guy at the counter said there was nothing he could do about it. He said I should have measured better. I reserved it off your website by length. Not very happy about the extra expense or customer service.

We have stayed at a free KOAs west of this one, couple in WY, MT, and ID, but this one had some things stand out good and bad. Good-most amenities hands down, bad-dirtiest and smallest showers, smallest bundles of wood! Not deal breakers but we hope too see that change.

The hospitality was not there this year like it has been in the past. The loss of Thor in the bike shop was a huge hit. He was very help over the past few years helping with our bikes. The workers at each of the kids stations weren't even paying attention. The activities that we participated in, the workers did nothing but hand the stuff out without talking. Pools were dirty.

While this used to be our fav site, we'll not be back. ATVs and Golf Carts filled with underage drivers racing around, noise (kids screaming and running wild) and additions of more sites has turned our happy, relaxing getaway into a place we'll sadly never visit again. Great place to let your teens and preteens run amuck with no consequences.

Spot was small and unpaved. For the money you would think it would be larger. We were placed within 75 feet of the dog park, we dont have a dog but were forced to smell dog fecees. We were scheduled to stay a week but left after one day and found another park.

It was great! I wish one pool was for adults only and more shade on sites. We picked for location was wonderful but need a senior rate in bus to Mt Rushmore for lights

Absolutely loved everything about this campground. We stayed on a very busy holiday weekend. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The bathrooms and laundry room were very clean, never had to wait even though the campground was filled to capacity. Wonderful experience!

The camp grounds were, mostly, in great shape and well cared for. The mini golf and bike rentals were incredibly worn down and in severe need of maintenance.

Best place !!!! We had so much fun riding into the Black Hills on Beautiful Scout and Cash. Our trail boss Grace was the best !!! We will definitely be back. Perfect location!!

We had a great time at the campground. Third time here in 25 years. A lot has changed, all progress. Very clean and very helpful staff. Rent that golf cart! You won’t regret it!

We loved this place so much 3 years ago but it’s gone way down hill since. No cell signal which is fine, but then to have non functioning Wi-Fi in a place like this? That’s insane. People at the desk just laughed and said “good luck the signal sucks” and to me, that’s unacceptable. This place is raking in the $$ and can’t spend an appropriate amount on services like that? Not cool.

My experiences at KOA's have not been great...up until this point. We planned a Mt Rushmore trip, and I am 100% happy we chose the KOA to stay. 3 days and 4 nights. We went over Memorial Day weekend. You will get rain and some inclement weather. We packed most of our food, but we did partake in the pancake breakfast. Kid loved it. We rented a UTV for an afternoon for 2hrs. Worth it. You go on the back trails, and if you are adventurous enough, go on the gnarly trails too. You can drive UTV's on the open road here as long as yours is street legal with plates, I believe. This was the perfect base camp for the following activities in the area: Mt Rushmore, Bear Country, Keystone, Hill City, Rapid City, The 1880 Train (the train was ok, good for kids who haven't been on an old steamer.) The camp grounds themselves are great! Pool, shopping, horseback riding, little shops to visit. We made some really great memories here. Thanks, KOA! PS: Keep in mind, this area is 'Merica friendly...In other words, treat people right and you'll be treated right. Do not play games with the locals, the black hills are vast. Just sayin.

This campground is awesome for everyone. We have been coming here for 5 years now at least one time year usually in August. We have 4 kids from age 5 to 15 and they all love it here. It has 2 pools playgrounds volleyball horseback riding utv rentals bike rentals restaurants ice cream shop small store for groceries and camping stuff wine shop and the kids love to play with all the other kids there. We don't have a camper so we stay in the cabins and they work great for the 6 of us. They have multiple bathrooms and shower house throughout the grounds to use and a laundry mat there. We never had any problems staying here and will keep coming back every year. There is a lot of things to do within an hour drive also. I would definitely recommend this place for people with kids of all ages.
