Staff was great. Facilities were horrible. Lack of bathrooms for the huge number of trailers and people. Gray water running down road. Yuck

We had a great time the staff was amazing very friendly and accommodating. I wish there was someone that patrolled the grounds at night we had a rough second night with an intoxicated neighbor around 3aam led to very little sleep. I also noticed the bathrooms were poorly maintained. I let someone know there was a stall that was backed up went back over 3 hours later and it still want fixed.

I understand you can't control Mother Nature and the area experienced a lot of rain over the past month but rather than issue a campsite that is a mud hole

WiFi should be fixed or stop advertising it. Great resort-style camp with plenty to do for kids (for free!). All staff exceptionally friendly. Fair pricing at the stores, bike rentals, and restaurants. Horses a little expensive. Best KOA visit yet.
Jun 28, 2015
Came in after heavy rains and set up in a flooded site next to the horse stables. Rain is not controllable but they had much drier open sites that they would not put us in. We are not horse riders and the stench was not pleasant. We had made reservations over 4 months before. We will not be back.

Great place for families and kid But in this day and age,NO CELL SERVICE and NO WIFI. I was told that they had been working on it for weeks, I probable will not return

Was a very active KOA,very large, lots of things to do for the kids, very quiet for as large as it was. There were two campers in our group, they were unable to put us together, they were quite far from us.Great family Koa.

Amazing place with a ton of things for the kids to do. I loved the location as well it was minutes to alot of attractions. Just need to keep the showers cleaner, outside of that great place and highly recommend it.

more bath and washing machine areas would be nice. all in all very nice stay thank you.
Jun 28, 2015
YOU COULD STAY HERE 2 WEEKS AND STILL ONLY SCRATCH THE SURFACE OF WHAT THEY OFFER. GREAT BASE CAMP.
Jun 28, 2015
Kids really really really loved the bounce pillow, and the pools! Next time we come we hope to ride the horses!! The one thing I wish there was more of, is hooks in the showers (over by the 400 cabins).
Jun 28, 2015
Very much of a resort feel. Beautiful mountain views. Excellent showers. Appreciated shuttle to Mt Rushmore light show.
Jun 28, 2015
Water, water, water need to fix roads but we understand you cannot control mother nature. too many big campers in small areas--due to rain
Jun 28, 2015
Wifi did not work and two employees told me it wasn't just me; it just doesn't work. No cell phone reception. Dirty showers. Dirty bathrooms. Given a camp site next to a children's playground even though i was camping without kids. Coin machine did not work in the laundry room.
Jun 28, 2015
People were very friendly and helpful. I understand why the water is slightly green. However, yes however a small attention to drainage would be most helpful. Yes there been more rain in the last two months then the yearly average but simple drainage running water away from camp site instead of allow it to run down the gravel passages. Open face ditch is the answer.

The Bathrooms were so dirty and the toilets were always over flowing the showers were awful. You need to separate the tents form the rest of the camp. And you need a better system for finding your cabin. The water was also awful and undrinkable. If the Pool is for Adults after 9PM the enforce it. It will be a long time before i ever go to another KOA.

Beautiful place. Wish we could have stayed a week!

After misjudging the weather and 2 nights in a tent with my 15 year old Daughter They had no problem upgrading us to a cabin that made all the difference of a home camp while we explored the Black Hills in SD
Jun 28, 2015
Great place. A few disappointments. Waterslide was not working.. Rock climbing hours closed too early. Bathrooms/showers up on hill were BAD (dirty and awful smell). Cabin door squeeked so loud! We will come back but hope to see some improvements:)

AWESOME!!! That should cover it!

Tent sites were really small!
Jun 27, 2015
Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Very clean and friendly staff. The sites were a little small and compact.
Jun 27, 2015
The staff was very polite and helpful, the general manager solved problems quickly, the facilities were clean, and the camp provided fun activities for all ages.
Jun 27, 2015
Great Place to stay if you have kids.
Jun 27, 2015
the crew were very helpful and friendly

Was a nice campground. I think the $10 resort fee per night is a bit high, knowing that some of the activities cost extra. But with having kids, it was nice to have things to do when we were not sight seeing. (But with all to see in the area, we really didn't use the amenities all that much) If you are not looking for a more rustic camping experience, then this was really nice.

Great activities at this KOA. Very big but nice facilities. Bathrooms were clean and convenient, cabins were well maintained. Staff was quick to respond to a request for assistance. Restaurant on site was pretty good too.
Jun 27, 2015
is just wonderful
Jun 27, 2015
KOA Campground? More like a KOA Resort! We came from California to see Mt. Rushmore but I think the kids liked the pool & water slide more! Excellent facilities and friendly staff too.

crowded and noisey overall very poor
Jun 27, 2015
Amazing place and awesome staff, best koa I've EVER stayed at!
Jun 27, 2015
Other then the rain for the day. Know it's not the camps fault for that. Got a lot more then expected. Can't wait to travel home and go camping again.
Jun 27, 2015
The campground was clean. Tons of fun activities for the kids. Staff went the extra mile for us.
Jun 27, 2015
I understand that there was a lot of rain but we were put on a site that was flooded. There were empty sites that we not flooded. The water slide was closed. We have camped at many KOAs over the years and this was the only one that did not go out of their way to make our stay more pleasant.

My pad was on a seep spring, and it rained. So for two days I was ankle deep in water every time I stepped out of my trailer. I will not go back; I will cho0se a Wal-Mart parking lot over this KOA
