Just a heads up, you have a pack of coyote that run the walking trail. We stayed in the spot next to the trail and were very happy we had the fire going when they came out of the woods. We had no worries but a small dog and/or small child would not have faired so well.

Great campground, well organized with lots of amenities and activities. Easy entrance to navigate in and out of. Close to shopping centers. Campground maintenance is superb. Great for kids and pets!

We just had a short 1 night stay but we have stayed here before. We love this campground very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

The only thing that up set me was that you only recognize active military for a discount on your stay at the campground. I’m a veteran, I served and that doesn’t make me any different .

Probably one of the best KOA I’ve stayed. Lots are spaced and they always have activities going on. Super super nice personal working there. Takes me back to good ole Southern hospitality and true honest people. Enjoy the stay. �

This was our second stay at this KOA, much shorter than the first. We still loved the staff and grounds. The park is beautiful and exceptionally well kept. Thank you!

Always a great stay, only issue we had was there was no hot water , even after running the showers for 20 minutes. Nothing. Other than that, awesome

We were assigned site number 40 and upon arrival we were unpleasantly surprised by many piles of dog poop on our site! Being camper workers ourselves this site should have been inspected before our arrival. We also are pet lovers and have had many but never left a site like this!! We were very disappointed because our friends recommended this campground to us.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Very sorry for all of the goose (not dog) poop. We try harrassing them to leave (which according to DNR is the only thing we can do), but they just won't go!

We had an excellent stay at this KOA - they were super friendly, the campground is very well maintained and we had a great pull through site! There is so much to do in the Charleston area, we'll definitely be back again!

People were kind and helpful Nobody enforced pet poop regulations and it was hard to dodge it all, not to mention others allowing their pets to deficate on our lot right in front of us! Brought back 2 sick pups

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dog poop stations are all around the property and people need to be responsible pet owners and pick up after their animals. If staff sees this happen, the issue is addressed then and there. The other is goose poop, big birds, big poop. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about them.

Love this KOA. I love the new Slots that view the water. One minor complaint is the slots are not level. With rigs my size it is very difficult to get level. I know it would be another cost to you all, but ask that you at least look at it. Appreciate all you do and the wonderful customer service. Jackie, Wilson, and Jeff are who I deal with the most, but I love the whole team.

Always love coming here. The people in the office will go out of their way to accommodate any needs. The showers are big and clean. Notice some people on the golf cart changes. Not all of them as freindly as before when I was there. Over all, perfect place to stay.

Excellent staff and service. Super clean park. Love the swings by the lake. Couldn’t believe how nice and quiet the park was with as many people as there were camping. Even though we were not the ones who called, thanks for dealing with that barking dog inside the camper. The incessant barking was making our outside time miserable.

Loved the campground and location. The only thing I didn’t love was all the mulch around the premium sites. My dog kept eating it and got sick and we had to sweep and vaccuum the RV an every day due to how much ended up inside from our feet. I will definitely return but will choose a gravel site. But staff was awesome and the lake is beautiful. It really is a great KOA!

Your KOA is one of the nicest that I have stayed at. The RV park is well laid out. The trails or a big plus. Employees were very nice and helpful.

We had a great stay but decided to leave a day early because of the long drive ahead of us. Even though we didn’t ask for a refund, we were credited for one night’s stay which was very much appreciated. Loved the area and the campground. Thanks KOA staff!

We had the most wonderful stay here, we stayed in site 71 which is an end unit with a lake view. It is improved with a patio, wonderful seating including glider chairs and a swing right on the water. They gave us a complimentary bundle of firewood with this site. It's very quiet here and is dark with not a lot of light pollution coming in through the shades. The pool was open but it was cool so we didn't use it. the walking path along the lake was pleasant and we saw lots of turtles and water birds. It is a gated park and felt very safe. We previously stayed at a different KOA on the other side of town and we're so glad we found this place. There is a fantastic dog park with two separate areas, one has access to the water, the fencing actually extends into the water for safe playing.

We really liked this KOA. Great location to check out Patriot Point, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a great trail to walk your BFF on and a beautiful lake. I wish the dog park had 2 separate doors to it so you don't have to let your dog in with other dogs. Many good things to do at this park! Enjoy!!
