Meet Your Hosts

It takes someone special to own a KOA Kampground. It's more than just a business venture -it's a love of camping, enthusiasm for guests and a dedication to providing unmatched service. Greg and Sue, owners of the Moab, UT KOA, have all of those qualities and more. "We decided to purchase a KOA because we were looking for a fun and family-friendly business. We wanted the opportunity to meet new, friendly people in an outdoor environment." Before purchasing Moab KOA we owned a KOA in the White Mountains of New Hampshire for 5 years, we enjoyed the area as well as the guests who became our friends. Each year we earned awards for our great service and dedication to our campers. "Our guests are our first priority," Greg said. "We pay attention to the details to make sure that our customers want to come back to us time and time again. We do this by offering a sparkling clean facility and top class customer service. Our aim is to earn your loyalty by making your stay a great one with lots of happy memories.” While providing great guest service remains their primary focus, Greg and Sue take special pride in every aspect of their campground. Their campground's sparkling clean restrooms, well-kept facilities, and many area activities are a big hit with their campers. In their off hours, Greg and Sue can be found exploring one of the many hiking trails while enjoying the amazing natural beauty of the Moab area.

Canyonlands National Park (About 35 mins drive from KOA)

Canyonlands National Park is the largest and most rugged of all of Utah’s parks. The three sections of Canyonlands, Island in the Sky, the Maze, and the Needles, divided by the Green and Colorado rivers, are primitive worlds. They are so vast that, even with repeated exploration, they will never give up all of their secrets.

Dead Horse State Park (35 minutes from KOA) Photo

Dead Horse State Park (35 minutes from KOA)

This park is so named because old-time cowboys, using the point as a natural corral, inadvertently left a band of horses trapped for so long they died of thirst. An almost isolated island-mesa, Dead Horse Point offers a spectacular view of the La Sal Mountains, Canyonlands National Park, and the Colorado River 2,000 feet below.
