At Missoula Saturday Market, each summer, the city of Missoula closes Pine Street for a Saturday craft and food market run by local artisans. Enjoy traffic-free socializing, morning coffee and treats, local crafts, and interesting imports in historic downtown Missoula. At Saturday Market you'll find everything from photography and painting to clothing, jewelry, locally made soap, and hand-poured candles. Check out the contemporary designs, and even meet the artists themselves. If you are an art watcher, you have got to attend this event on the Saturday's. Saturday Market is situated between two other markets you'll also on Saturday, the Clark Fork River Market and the Farmers Market. The Saturday Market begins the first Saturday in May and ends on the third Saturday in October.
The Clark Fork River Market set alongside the Clark Fork River in Missoula is a scenic setting for buying locally-produced fruits and vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, organic dairy products, plants, flowers, fresh handcrafted pastas, baked goods, honey, salsa, jams and jellies, wool goods and other wares from area farmers, ranchers and chefs. Breakfast, lunch, espresso, coffee, tea and cold drinks are available. The Clark Fork River Market is truly a showcase of some of the best local made products. You might even see a cooking demonstrations hosted by local chefs. Live music adds to the festivities from 10am to 12ish. The first few weeks of the market you'll find starts for your own garden. The Clark Fork Market hours are Saturdays 8am - 1pm and runs May to Mid-October under the Higgins Avenue bridge in downtown Missoula.
