Campground Reviews

Very nice park and friendly staff. The only downside we had while there was the roads were very dusty and we were near the entrance so lots of dust blew our way.

Very surprising. Friendly families and ideal location. Clean and a helpful staff.

Helpful and friendly staff!

Older campground. spaces very close together. No cable. No satellite due to trees. Would have been a 3 if not for staff and cleanliness. Super couter service, guide to space and follow-up to make sure we had no problem setting up. Close and convenient to MSP. Lots of kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Good overnight location

Fantastic!! Everyone!!

Fair campground but they seem to be all about their bottom line and profits. New ownership as of spring 2022 appears to have degraded the campground.

Typical campground. Individual sites were nice but very close together. The indoor pool was certainly a very nice bonus. It was cool and clean and made it worth the overall expense. But when it comes to price, I prefer a family owned or state park. Those are most often less expensive with more space, and often much quieter because they are farther away from a main road and other businesses.

It was satisfactory except for 2 areas: (1) WIFI at this KOA, as with most KOAs, was not up to the task of handling the volume of computers & phones all trying to use it simultaneously; it was very slow and could not always get linked. (2) Could not pull through to exit: road blocked, had to back out. BIG RIGS had no room for tow vehicles at many sites, so they clogged up the roadways with them.

A nice base camp for area activities.

An OK campground. Convenient stop on our way home. Office staff was blah but guy that took us to our campsite was top notch and helpful. Amazing how family owned campgrounds work with you when you have a last minute change in plans out of your control, but massive KOA owned campgrounds aren’t so helpful or understanding.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Only complaint we had was one night the swimming pool closed without warning earlier than posted hours and the kids were so looking forward to an evening swim after a hot day of touring. The manager/owner corrected the problem and made things good with the kids by giving them one hour of bike rental.

Great big shade trees. Nice big indoor pool, but the water was a little cool. Bathrooms were a disaster. Didn’t seem to be cleaned on a regular basis.

Very accommodating and friendly

Needs serious investment on sites (gravel). Such a well shaded property has potential. Fine for a one night stay. Bathrooms need a refresh.

Every one was friendly and made sure our family reunion went off as planned. Very accommodating. The bathroom did run out of to for a long time

The office staff were very friendly. Their indoor pool is awesome. I would rate 5 stars but the park sites are a bit tight and gravel has eroded a bit so very un-level ground. Also, Public showers are also a bit dingy and unkept. Otherwise, it’s a nice KOA Park.

Enjoyed the stay. Friendly staff.

The campground is nice, shaded, clean. The sites are way too close together.

Camping site was VERY small and had no picnic table - we were informed that they didn't have enough tables to go around and that we should just " borrow" one from another site. Hard to do when the place was full.

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the escort that brought us to and through our site so we were basically level without much effort

Dirty bathrooms. Lots of mosquitos. Just kind of grungy compared to other KOAs

The camp sites are to close to one another consequently we found dog waste in our site by stepping on it.

Thank you for honoring the promise to give 3 little boys one hour of free bike since the pool was closed early one night. They really enjoyed it.

The man and wife that escorted us to our site were extremely friendly. My expectations of KOA has been disappointing in several of our KOA stays recently. This park really needs some attention if they’re going to call it a holiday park. What happened to friendly office staff, lawn mowed, and cleaned up park? I will think twice before I go to another KOA.

It was a nice place. We had a great campsite. I would only say that it needed a little TLC. Grass, weeds, the playground looked a little tired.
Jun 18, 2022
The timber on the patio area were falling apart and a triping hazard and firepits in the ground some one can fall into

Wonderful shade trees, nice stay and convenient location for us.

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it had everything we needed. The staff was AWESOME!!

Beautiful place, conveniently located, very accommodating. I wish the grounds would have been sprayed for mosquitoes because they were terrible. My only other complaint would be the showers. Although they were clean and looked nice, the water temperature was was hard to regulate and ended up being either scolding hot or freezing cold most of the time.

Plus: very friendly and helpful staff, convenient location. Lots of big trees and shade. Minus: The showers were dirty.

Park is older so spots are not very wide but workable. The facilities are dated but the location is under new ownership as of a couple weeks ago, so some updating is more than likely on the horizon. Plus side is that being older there is lots of trees for shade and grass. New owner is very nice and has other parks so he knows what he is doing and what needs to be done. Will stay again.

Employee was nice. The campground itself was small. Tiny sites which seemed to butt up to a business which I find off-putting especially if you got stuck in those sites. You could see right through your camper into the parking lot. Lots of heavy machinery going on during working hours right over the fence by the tent campers :/. The bugs were outrageous.

The stay was nice, the staff was very friendly. It was very crowded that weekend, but everyone was also very friendly. The one thing I didn't like, the bathrooms.

Very nice campgrounds

Decent cabin. Enough kitchen supplies there for what we needed. No toilet paper for us in the cabin bathroom. Coffee machine did not work - would prefer a regular drip coffeemaker over the individual cup maker anyway. Conveniently close location for our purpose in the Jordan area.

We were in spot #1 with a 34' class A towing..it was a "pull thru"..but unless you carry at least 4 sewer hoses it just isn't going to work..the sewer hook up is at the very end of the site. If you are in site #1 you will accumulate alot of dust because the roads are dirt..trying to sit outside is well..if your back is to the road ok. Not enough room left to continue.

Pool was awesome, indoors but a little chilly and lots of chlorine. Water at our campsite was the worst I have seen and smelled, I would have brought our own water if I knew it was that bad. Wi-Fi was useless we couldn’t use it. The campground has potential but needs some more care.
Jun 13, 2022
Campground is on the smaller side. When making a reservation be sure to check for sewer hookup being most sites don’t have it. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The mosquitoes were absolutely terrible so pack a lot of bug spray. Firewood burned good. Close to MOA and zoo.

Needs to be updated, the mosquitoes were terrible.

It was very clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Sadly this was our most disappointing KOA experience ever (and we stay at lots of KOA properties). I believe the property recently got new owners so they're probably playing catch-up. Much of the landscaping is overgrown and poorly maintained. Very tight sites even on the premium sites. Could easily be a beautiful campground but lots of work to do. Didn't live up to the Holiday branding we expect.

Stayed in one of their cabins for two nights in September while visiting family in the Twin Cities. It's located quite a ways outside the metro area, in a locale with businesses and a four lane highway not far away. The KOA property is okay, with trees. The proprietress was very accommodating and cordial. Our cabin was clean and well maintained. The restroom and showers facilities, and the laundry room, were also clean and well maintained. It took about a minute to walk to the restroom/shower/laundry facilities from our cabin. Most of the time, the wifi was very slow, but one morning at 6:30 it was pretty fast (perhaps someone had been streaming videos previously?)
