Campground Reviews

Right off the expressway. A little loud. Staff were very helpful with arrangement of tours. Easy pick up and return

This campground has a lot of potential, would not recommend

Nice campground great people work there very helpfull and friendly. Had a great time.

We were able to pull in and stay on short notice on our first RV round trip from TX to MI. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was easy to hook up. We took advantage of the hot breakfast before we pulled out which was good but not fancy. The showers were adequate but could be a little more attractive. Overall a good experience.
Jul 28, 2013
Good. Night lights much too bright.
Jul 27, 2013
Pool was nice. sites are good size. Laundry is expensive. Restrooms are clean--that is the most important.
Jul 27, 2013
Nice KOA. Employees, just okay. Pool good, restrooms clean. Sites could use a little work.

check in / rude
Jul 27, 2013
Noisy, bright, and mosquito infested. Got only a couple hours sleep before a long day of motorcycle riding. Staff was pleasant.

Stay was good except for the constant smell of dog poop outside. Some one was not following the rules. Not your fault.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This is constantly thought to be dog poop smell. The temporary odor comes from the farmers spreading fertilizer on the fields it does not last long. Comes from living in farm country.

Very nice showers!

We enjoyed our time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Jul 26, 2013
We asked for a site near the bathroom and our site was not that near. Also we felt this park was too high priced for what was there. We did enjoy the breakfast--good cook!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The site given was directly across from bathroom. It is as close as a full hookup site can be to the bathrooms. We are priced comparatively for the area. We are one of the few parks that have free wifi and cable and a swimming pool and cafe. This is very important to our campers.

We stayed in one of the cabins, and were amazed at how clean, comfortable, & well equipped it was. The restrooms/showers, pool & store were nearby and very clean. The staff was friendly & helped make our stay very enjoyable. It was all I expected from a KOA and then some.
Jul 23, 2013
Our tent site was large & even, with room enough for 2 tents & our screen tent, plus water & electric hookups. The staff was friendly, efficient, and very helpful. The pool was clean & the bathrooms were too! (I loved the sign in the ladies' room: "Please leave this bathroom the way you'd like to find it." It made clear the responsibility was ours, and all the campers seemed to respect that.)

This is by far the worst KOA I have ever stayed in. The bathroom showers have mold on the walls, floors and back of the shower curtains. The owners store is stocked with Elvis memorabilia and what little they do have they charge 3 times the normal price.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are a presidental award winning campground and are often complimented on our clean restrooms. Our popular Elvis memorabilia is noted for being much cheaper than Graceland. We are comparatively priced for our General Store and often get great compliments from our campers.

Visited this place on our way out for vacation, and if it wasn't that it was the only KOA in the distance we were traveling for that day, I would not have come back, Bath showers were moldy, Staff unpleasant on both occasions and the prices for lodging is the highest of any KOA I have ever stayed at. Pass by and get a hotel room, or park at Walmart..

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Basic cabins are fully loaded with, tv, cable, mini fridge, microwave, new memory foam mattresses. Outside propane gas grill, fire pit, and swing. Our restrooms are scrubbed down every day. We get many compliments from our campers how clean they are. We are a presidential award winning campground

The camp was nice but we were only there one night due to having to get back to work on Mon.

Jul 18, 2013
Late arrival board had all our questions answered with paperwork, campground info, and directions to our assigned site.
Jul 18, 2013
Definitely NOT for tenters. The worst bugs we have ever experienced (there is a stagnant water pool behind a small fence near the tent sites), Grass was not cut on our assigned site, and all the tent sites are only 100 yds from the interstate (noisy). But Pool is clean and so are showers. Way too expensive for tent camping rates given their location. Memphis dropped from our "re-visit" list.

Pleasant surroundings. a bit hard to find but was lovely after we arrived.

Enjoyed our time with our friends at Memphis West, AR. We have stayed several times and will again if our travels take us in this direction.
Jul 17, 2013
Very pleasant and helpful staff. It is convenient to have tours leaving from the campground.French toasts at the restaurant for breakfast were great they tasted like they were homemade. It would have been useful to have more road signs from I55 to the campgroundthe lack of signs made the last part of the trip it a bit confusing after a long drive.
Jul 17, 2013
I didn't like getting all of the bug bites!
Jul 17, 2013
Nice pull through sites but wi-fi is flakey.
Jul 17, 2013
Second stay after having repairs done in Redbay
Jul 17, 2013
At $55 per night it thought it was very Expensive. The facilities were first rate at one time, but have become somewhat dilapidated. The pool area and restrooms were clean. The RV sites were adequate for our 41' 5er. Cable worked well. Suggest the management spend some of that overpriced nightly rate on some upgraded amenities. We'll stay there again when the price comes down.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This Site E is one of our most popular sites in the park. They are large pull thru sites. We have built a new deck, installed cable tv, built an outdoor game area, and have free wifi and cable. We have upgraded our cabins with more amenities. We have plenty more improvements to come.
Jul 16, 2013
Good if you need a place to stay for a night on the way. Not much in the immediate vicinity. Bit of a drive to get to Memphis.
Jul 16, 2013
We stayed on a tent site, very nice. Bathrooms were very clean. Well maintaned pool. Friendly staff.
Jul 16, 2013
Adequate facilities, friendly and helpful staff.
Jul 16, 2013
Camp site was extremely clean and relaxing. Facilities were conviniently located and well lit. The staff was helpfull and welcoming. I would stay at this site again and recommend to friends and family.

Just stayed one night but very friendlyand pull throughs easy access
Jul 14, 2013
The staff was very helpful here, even though many of the staff were young, they worked hard.

It was a nice campground but the grass needed attention. The manager and his wife were extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome . You have the right people for the job. Thanks.
